Baccarat Forum / Re: Lets talk about Ellis's 2HI

The problem with progressions is the difficulty of overcoming what I call the shoe distribution bias.
On average, the distribution in the long run will be something similar to the following.  If you can beat the distribution in the long run you will have a good system.
Betting large on a few hands over several shoes when you feel the distribution is in your favor may work for some,  but for the small bettor with multiple bets, the distribution will be difficult to overcome.

1's    50    %
2's    25    %
3'S   12.5  %
4's    6.25  %
5's    3.125 %
6's    1.562 %
7's    .78    %
8's    .39    %

Ellis has put a lot of time into his Thing.  Searching for a bias I assume.  In every shoe you can have a bias of one way  or another, IMO.

I once read that there are 250 known Holy Grails found across Europe.  I thought that to be a very interesting statistic.

I would of never thought of looking there !

No, I wouldn't use a marty after 7 iar . for three reasons.'
1. Its still a breakeven long term system.
2. Small bets wouldn't be worth the table time.
3. Large bets will be stopped by bankroll or table max.
It will happen.
One of my stories. Once, while playing the wheel,  I bet Both outside rows.
Four times in a row the middle row won.

Great entertainment !  Why did Dr. Thorp write that book ? Well,  that's what professors do, research and write about it.

I'm sure most professional or semi professional players, on these forums,  play their cards close to their vest.

Greetings,

I can never trust playing against any electronic machine or anything with random number generator.  From my experience,  this is a breakdown of the  house advantage with slots.

.o5 cent  12%.   .25 cent  10%   .50 cent 7%   1.oo dollar  3%   5.oo dollar  2%   10.oo dollar and greater  1%  or less . I'm sure electronic table games have similar house advantage built in to the

game program and will give you winning hands in accordance what the program dictates.   On average table games bring in 15% or so.

On Imspirit " Can you get rich betting on birthdays" link there is a three column with 8 possible out comes. Take a look at the site because I can't explain it.

They  make an interesting point and a good read.

On Imspirit  several methods are examined pointing out why each one may fail.

Greetings,

I keep my game score cards over the years.  I do this to track my play and try different methods on real games.

Its not if you bust, everyone busts, The question is can you recover for  a profit over 50 shoes.

If my average unit-win profit is less than , lets say 4 units per shoe over 50 shoes,  I will try something to improve my average.

This will make a long term winner.

All I can say is,  when I'm at a table I notice many are following my bet placement.

Good going Chiraqi92.

Placing 3 to 5 bets then walking out is a good short term plan.  Look for shoes with '4 in a row' or less.

In the long term over a few hundred shoes I would think the total number of '4 in a row' would be close to the total number of 'greater than  4 in a row'.

Your choice of which shoe to play will be your advantage.

@Sputnik

A very good  +10  flat betting or +38 with a 4 step marty

I've often thought that the Pitboss method and System 40  method were similar methods.

Greetings,

This is the only shoe I played on my last trip.  I won 17 units by guessing.

Give it a try to see how well you will do.

Thank you for your concern.

I have spent a lot of time in casinos for the past two months using up my comped rooms and meals.

I'm using a comped room tonight and I may play a couple shoes.

I will let you know how it goes.

Thank you to all who have given your ideas.

I know of someone who has made an average of 3 to 4 units per shoe, before commission, over 30 to 40 shoes, playing almost every hand.

I thought this was exceptional !
