Someone bets on sleepers around here? and most important: anyone can attest to make money over time by betting sleeper locations? It would also be interesting to know the reasons why not bet on the sleepers. Thanks.

I ask because I am playing a splits system for sleepers with positive results. it might just be the progression and it has no merit. Maybe I just wanted some psychological reinforcement.

This system is going to lose I know. But I am making money with it right now and do not want to stop it. what dilemmas players have when winning with a losing system.

The system is fairly mechanical. As I discovered after finishing my observations with "+1 splits system" as previously published in the respective section. These were twice 18 spins  then the observation came to spin 36. At 36 you can still find sleepers. And I began to bet them with a progression that seemed appropriate to me..

Another winning session to crown this weekend. I am loving the splits.

Keep up the good work, Walter.

I find this statement of yours, "what dilemmas players have when winning with a losing systems", rather interesting and thought-provoking.  It just happens to be the crux of the argument between those that play the game, for real, and those that simply look at the "negative expectancy numbers" as simply insurmountable.

My play could be considered, just as I suppose is most everyone's, as at least partially "mechanical" as well.  I mean, after all, I do happen to look for the same things, the same triggers, at each and every shoe and/or session.  I can see where one could look at that as a bit "mechanical" in nature; although it does bear mentioning that I certainly do incorporate many "subjective" notions inside of my over-all play.

So, with that all said, Walter, are we, in fact, really winning with some sort of mechanical play, which, by all things that are holy to those "mathites" (read: the house edge enthusiasts), simply cannot be true?  How is it that we can actually "beat the math" over the long term?  Or, might the better question be:  Can we?

If one were to ask me, I'd say, yes, we can.  I've posted enough over the years about my Player's Edges, so there's no need to repeat them here.  But I would simply say that by proper (and by "proper" I mean consistent, patient, and disciplined) utilization of those afore-mentioned Player's Edges one can turn their "negative" into our "positive".

So your "dilemma" statement regarding "winning with a losing system"; frankly, I think that has alot to do with the player that is utilizing it.  In short, for some, there simply mightn't be much of a dilemma at all.

Stay well, and continued successes.

I bet on the sleepers by not betting on them. This is what happens. They go through phases of working real good, working blandly with very little in  the way of progress, and working like kryptonite for Superman where they lose almost every time you bet for them to keep sleeping. The trick is to focus on the effectiveness while using the bet selection process as a mechanism only. Bet big when it works, bet small when it's mediocre or bad. Nobody can tell you when good will start or when bad will end. That's where skill and craftsmanship becomes handy.

Great to see you are still around Gizmotron.

The quote above sounds like everyone should know it and it makes perfect sense. Yet, I see the majority of players do the exact opposite.

If you fail to know, fail to prepare, fail to plan and practice, then know full well that you are knowingly preparing and planning to lose. What you don't know and don't do will be your undoing.

Yep, still alive. Thanks

The secret to being a winner is in the Bible. I had it shown to me by a Day-Trader. Many people think that the Bible says "Money is the root of all evil." That's not what it says. It says: "The love of money is the root of many evils."

The point is, that many players can't accept a win on its own merit.  They want more, so they play strong right into a bad streak. Their greed or motivation to get more causes them to depend on unreasonable expectations. It's because of human nature that casinos are built, not the house's advantage. Human nature is the true enemy. Many people have and use magical beliefs to motivate their playing stratagem. Becoming aware often takes making many mistakes before useful insight even comes close to becoming useful.
