I try to stat why we were losing. Maybe we could learn something here.

Your comment and participation is highly appreciate.

Thank you

In isolation for single session I chose the metal state. But, over long term most cats lose because of insufficient bankroll and mm, hey hey.

Garfield

I also voted for Mental state. Interesting. Even in single session as soxfan said. Isn't long term consists of many single session?

Would like to hear more opinion.

Thank you for the participation.

I hope this could give a hint for beginner to prepare what they are going to face. Mostly might think that the worst issue is casino countermeasure.

Is it?

Mentality I chose. Composure, is the word I choose to use for it's description.

Part of it is physical: fatigue, hunger, thirst, small pressure against my bladder, headache, backache etc.

Though, it could be considered a mental decision to continue on under those conditions.

Sometimes it's the BR, it is not designed to overcome all losses, but to gather up a surplus of units greater than sum of itself. Like Soxfan's parlay. He knows it's going to bust, but it adds more units to his life time BR than it subtracts after a bust.. so that may not really be a loss at all.

So, still the mental state with 2 "side vote" is BR.

Good opinion. Anyone else? I will record the "side vote", and adding it as a suplemental to the result.

Thx,

Lack of proper bankroll causes cats to play with scared money and scared money is losing money. In the futures trading world we always say that a cat has to conquer his own greed and fear to become a successful trader and the same applies to the baccarats, hey hey.

Garfield

Glad to know up until now no vote goes to option#8.

It means we all still believe in something.

Without a verified edge, composure could only help to dilute the inevitable final loss.
It's just a matter of time.

This is a tough one.  Much of this has to do with the nature of ones plan.  If you got a plan that is strict, rigid, known, mechanical then it has to be mental state when you don't follow that plan and you blow it.  But in a game where subjectivity (guessing) comes in the only way it can be a mental state problem (the chimp) is when you alter your actual bet from a preconceived plan.  If you don't have a preconceived plan in a 50-50 game then it's just bankroll.

We got to be careful about fooling ourselves and second guessing with stuff like - if I only left when I was winning - OR - if only I bet this way because I usually bet the other way - this kind of stuff is not mental without a strict plan.  So unless you have a rule that says leave when you are up x or down y then it isn't mental.

LMAO.  Here's a mental mistake I made today in a shoe.  Here is my W/L registry.  Awful shoe to start.  But understand that my BP is not written in stone.  I choose it as I go along.  So there can never b e a BP mistake.

LLWLLLLLLWWWWLLLLWLWWLLLLWWWWWWWLWLWL that's 41 bets placed I think.  I hate this kind of shoe and I struggled in the beginning After my last L.  I am now winning 11 units.  My PLAN still says I can make 2 more bets and if I lose 2 of 3 I quit.  But instead I quit anyway disgusted with the shoe and what it was doing.  Instead I sit and mark my shoe and watch the following .  So, if I had played using my PLANNED attack I would have continued with WWWWWWWLWWWWWWWWWLWWLLLL.

The mental state can go both ways!  That is a mental error but only because I have a criteria for leaving the shoe that I didn't follow.  If I had lost 2 of 3 and then continued that would have been a mental mistake.

So, finally, it can be both but you have to know the difference.

Okay, BL, go ahead and say I am a unintelligent unintelligent!  I deserve it.   HUH???  Can't say d u m b on this stupid website.

I think you did well. Better safe than sorry. A bird in the hand...

Each circumstance, each shoe is different. Congratulations.

Limited time can be a huge factor for Mentality (anger, frustation, out of control,no discipline,no patience).  I'm lucky if I can play much more than 1.5 shoes worth in an outing.

Prediction or mathematical? Ask Greenspan...

The best example of beating the house was made by 22 y.o. or so very acute MIT guys.....and for that matter at the last WSOP championships the winners were unlikely to be older than 26, most of the time being under 23, destroying every other very experienced professional player.

Greetings...
One possible reason for losing Is not knowing Percentages.
every game I play I'm break the game down with use of my best selection
Into. The percentage of ones twos threes fours etc...  this is the only. Way I can determine if a progression or a flat or a parlay bet is winning bet....  for example if ones are high above 51 percent .. progression is best ... if twos and threes are higher then it's a parlay...

Always bet the winning hand
