What`s any ones take on Midi Baccarat.   Midi or Mini . What`s your choice provided no Big Table   is  available.

I prefer midi where available, I like the squeezing and all the fun that goes with superstitions...

I don't go to the casino for fun so I just want to get through a game ASAP.  It's mini for me.  Still with a friendly Asian dealer and a bunch of Asian ladies the game can be a chat fest which drives me crazy.  Since I pretty much always know what my next bet is ahead of time it doesn't take me long to decide what to do - like no time at all..  If it takes too long I ask, "Last call for bets, please?"  Still a game usually lasts an hour and I'd prefer 30 minutes.  45 minutes acceptable.

I prefer whatever table is empty so I can complete a shoe in 30min or less

Any table where the players reveal the cards is superior from my experience because more thought goes into each hand.  The game is slower which provides time to think about everything - much more important on difficult parts of a shoe.

I have now have changed my view due and favor playing mini primarily.  Just as many high skill players at mini tables, faster pace, and more shoes means more kick bass shoes and progressions.  Also, I do like to see counter betting and split tables because that is valuable information.  Often on the midi on up players are more reluctant to go against.

I have been to many jurisdictions, numerous including 'card rooms' but will leave those out for sake of argument.  Vegas, Southern California major casinos, numerous Midwest large casinos, Atlantic City and northeast casinos as well as the Southeast.  The majority of my statements are based upon many different jurisdictions and coming up with an overall statement of sorts.

I am not challenging you or anyone else here on this board for what their local jurisdictions do or appear as. 

IMO, the faster paces and progressions coming about, can and do work both ways towards players and their buy-in's.  I am lucky, as one of my local places has mini-only and it is run and operated as a midi table by far and large. I have seen and witnessed an equal amount of faster paced tables really hurt the better players as well as the slower table not being able to lend assistance to so many that need to make up losses. 

However, and IMO, a player puts himself in the upper majority if not all his 'gambling problems' and then looks to another or something else to relieve him of the negativity.   

I have witnessed countless midi table players wager directly against the other players as well as any pattern or trend and strictly adhere to the 'cut' will prevail taking it to the extreme, continually.  Which means;        * wagering for the cut if it is repeating; and then immediately * wagering for the repeat if it is weak and cutting.

Yes, there is a difference between choppers of let's say a Long Dragon of consecutive wins versus parts of a shoe where it really is very uncertain and then the table splits.  If I think one side and most everyone thinks the other then I take a very hard look.  Everyone has seen the table line up on a side and get smoked all of the time though.

Finding one or more players on a terrible losing streak is as valuable as finding a very strong hand.

It can be an endless discussion, however, I will conclude my thoughts with something very factual.

I, 'personally' have won lots more money when the whole table was in camaraderie and 100% in connected spirits without much of the 'brew-ha-ha' and in-fighting or competitiveness along with ego boasting "I told you I was right' type of personalities.  Far more, than I ever did on my own or at split-in fighting tables of players.
