##### TIME THEORY
« on: August 23, 2016, 03:47:51 am »
• This is emerging as a major theme in my roulette theory and practice. Recent experiences and success have indicated that 'timing' is a key component in the formula to beat roulette.

This thread will explore this idea and give examples of live play application so you can become a more successful player.

• At first these notes and ideas relate to my recent work with rouletteplayers.org table and wheel. As I have stated elsewhere every game of roulette has a unique context and time/space wrap. Every individual game/ table/ wheel should be studied carefully before joining the game.

Leaping in without care will prove fatal more than it provides any profit.

The point of roulette by my own definition is to beat the game, and make profit.  For example +0 beats the game as it negates house edge but it provides no profit. By contrast +1 is totally satisfactory. And +100 is a gift.

Every wheel/ table is unique. Careful study for me can range from one spin prior observation ( as per the numbers appearing on the rouletteplayers screen) to several spins ( say 3-4 spins) to a screen full of prior spins ( about 15-20 spins).

Empirical work has shown me that on this format 1-5 spins are usually sufficient and in 60% of situations tested I have chosen NOT to join the game. This is because MB16 contains 16 numbers and 21 are outside of that net. Also I join the game possibly ( with some risk unknown) by leaping in after 1 spin shown and one of our 16 is contained. By observing up to 2-4 spins more the spin cycle can be observed, and if not it is best to walk.

For example we start with 16, so we join, and 32 follows, then 20, then 14. I then would cash up. The reasons for this are three consecutive 1 spin cycle wins and also, and something I have not touched on before, three central column hits.

These are max max hits. Excellent time to quit after 3 consecutives. I have seen up to 8 consecutives as 1 spin hits, but these are outliers. I keep to the bet characteristic that is most likely as proven by measured distribution over a suitable statistical sample.

There is an example of space ( table layout and distribution graph image) with time ( number of outcomes and duration of win cycle).

Different procedures and protocols may be needed for live table games. To follow I will go through this and illustrate by recent live play at Sky City in Auckland.

Other principles overlap but are relevant to time/space; in particular, focus.  Focus is total concentration on the moment and the space that connects such as a few spins prior and after. Focus avoids extra risk but eliminating hunches, vague ideas, theories and chance. Focus concentrates on what you know, from prior experience of the bet characteristic patterns unfolding before you, and thus what is most likely to happen next. This is a window into randomness, and a framework from which to build a short play which more often than not will provide profit. It will not work always but by careful timing and good judgement there will be more wins than losses, and a net profit will ensue. It is very simple and that is just MB16 - an application of a losing bet but which can be a winning strategy.

• At the moment I am combining some play on rouletteplayers.org through Oasis with some live internet casino play, and after a very tough series of short and medium size sessions ( digging out of holes) the  rouletteplayers.org account has now reached an ATH* of +152,000 units.

*ATH is all time high

The re-tracement had been quite testing because I had ventured into dangerous territory ignoring early warning signs and at one stage we had to fight back from 89,000 units ( a re-trace of nearly 40,000 from an earlier high).

To scale out of such again requires patience, perseverance, and of course primarily timing. I got the timing wrong in the first place, so am showing you this is a slippery path.

However this note is about the notion and power of ATH.

We have seen in the past month a fantastic gathering of very fine sports people. All are concerned with improving PB and establishing new ATH, OR and WR.  All this is carrot and stick motivation with much honour, pride, glory and now commercial value as being a sought after role model for those who want brands, and social media in their lives.

Nothing judgmental in my comments, as I admire all of these athletes, and the power of the ATH as a motivation tool for the emotions is what interests me.

Thus in roulette, I recommend you become even more obsessive, and faithfully record your progress whether it be a downward spiral ( we have all been through those cycles) or better, new and new target ATH records. To start to really care about performance is a fascinating pschology and bio-feedback loops proliferate. These are all most supportive and motivate us to improve, grow, perform in whatever format you select. However I suggest short sprints in roulette sessions first. Start accumulating and anticipating and expecting success, and be prepared for occasional tests, and losses, but put all in a larger context and plan.

So there is the Olympic metaphor in roulette. We play to win.  Why else would you bother?

Learn to time, accumulate, and grow risk banks, and also know when to cash out and re-set balances. Learn to search out what is the best combination for you. We are all unique so tailor a plan, as a professional  trainer would for his future champion.

You can see why my world has no place for cynics as self sabotage I endeavour to weed out, while eternal vigilance is essential, and with all the skills and knowledge of the game in the world, you can and will still lose sometimes. Nevertheless you know that the goal is to accentuate wins and mitigate loss.

• Hello XXVV,
Could you please explain how this roulettplayers.org game works?

Oasis has accumulated a vast bankroll, but the leaderboard suggests an overall loss on the betting, so how does it work?

This is from the online leaderboard..

#   Username     Bankroll     Played Spins    Amount Bet    Amount Won      Winrate

9.     Oasis       151600       1874          8803850      8707550       0.9890616

It says 8803850 bet and 8707550 won.

That's a deficit of -96300 units.

I'm confused as to how the bankroll stands at 151600 units when the betting shows a substantial loss??

How does this work?

• You should contact Steve via RouletteForum.

There is a section on the game and details.

Oasis has a current growing positive account balance but clearly has spent more in getting to that position than overall net earnings, hence the 0.98 figure as earning.

Bach has done better with about +118,000 in growing account balance and has earned more than expenditure with a ratio over 1.05.

My interest is to investigate methods that can achieve a balance of about 1.0  ( ie break even) so as to enable winning streaks to be aggressively played in real time and on real tables, and with loss cycles recognised and defused asap.

As stated the staking on the game is flat and the skew preventing zero take gives greater house advantage.

This to me is like training at altitude for distance runners as a metaphor for bet efficiency studies.

Hope this helps.

• This is a report from Sky City Casino live on this evening play.

The following sequence illustrates a strategic decision that must be faced by serious players from time to time.

5      start of a new cycle of play with previous WF closed out but accumulated 500 unit loss from earlier frustrating losses

31
0    hit anchor bet
16  hit
14  hit

14  hit
17  hit
32  hit
15  hit  and take profit sufficient to cover prior loss and make +12% return on bank required to dig out (600 units)
----
I got out because there was a bad earlier loss to recover
yet look what followed.....

5   (hit WF)
14 ( hit another previous WF target)
12 ( hit on MB 16)                                     with previous staking this would have given +600 unit profit

----- left table

Note how fundamental MB16 has been with overlay of WF targets

• Timing of entry and exit is pivotal. Never regret stopping ( with the benefit of hindsight) 'early' and finishing on a win. To continue and then finish on a loss is an unnecessary waste when we know three consecutive wins is an optimal outcome.

Here is a sequence that was live 2 hours ago when I finished the sequence with a win on 3 at the house limit straight up and with splits.

This involves MB 16.

14

32    3 cycle

15    2 cycle

5
35
6
3      four consecutive wins after the 12 triggered a resumption of betting after, yes 'virtual bets' beyond stop loss.

payout was +1030 units

then followed

20   it would have been a fifth hit but I had already achieved my goal - after the earlier delay in corrections, this was a balancing win cycle and it was played aggressively with \$5 units and \$10 units.
