ADulay gave me the idea for this thread.
I do like sunrises, sunsets, rainbows and unique sky colors. Here are a few. Could not resist to capture them.
First one was about 20-25 minutes earlier than the second one. It was a fantastic coloring of the sky with a gradual relief of the dark black cluster of clouds.
The absolute best and most defined rainbow I ever witnessed. Pulled over on the side of the highway to capture this.
A great sunrise.
Sunset. Looked like the sky was exploding and on fire.
A sunrise that seemed like it was hours at super brightness.
First a sunrise beyond a cluster of clouds ready to burst open with rain. Then a quick rainbow. This all happened in less than 10 minutes.
The sunrise was absolutely blinding! But what was unique was the absolute blackout of it by extraordinary black clouds.
Last winter in Kansas City, just a totally painted sky in the early morning.

Terrific!!!!

December sunrise from my house
Although not one of my sought out favorites of sunrises, sunsets and rainbows-thought this chair and tv out in an extremely rural roadside ditch was unique.
Yesterday morning, a total painted pastel sky.
F-105 Thunder Chief fighter Jet
The F-105 Thunder Chief fighter jet at the entrance of the Chillicothe Municipal Airport. The aircraft has stood over the entrance along US 36 since 1985.
The old jet was originally painted red, white, and blue, but in 2008 it was taken down, restored, and painted in more traditional colors. According to news reports from that time, the F-105 doesn't have any specific association with the town or its airport; Chillicothe just wanted a plane that looked impressive.
Alrelax: Past this yesterday and I must say, it does look impressive!
Taken at the back of the boat after a hard day of whatever it is I do on the boat all day.

That is north of gorgeous!!
Thx alrelax. Awesome pics/thx for taking the time to post. Did you take with your smart phone or other camera?
*I like to go deep sea fishing a lot and one of the most serene feelings is being out in the ocean so far one can't see land. Then watching as the sun starts setting/dropping below the horizon and distant water levels. It makes one realize we are such a tiny speck in the big scheme of things.

Everything posted with either an iPhone 13 or an XR iPhone.
This morning.
Here is one from the other day. The DeLorean looked and sounded awesome! 9,080 were manufactured. Not many around that are road worthy from what I read.
Anyone like these?
Had to snap a picture of this RV. The Jetson's?.
Full rainbow from the other day!
Turning the picture on post #13 upside down.......seems like it would be more artistic.
I took these pictures yesterday early morning, Friday May 24th. The area has seen an unprecedented amount of horrible damaging tornadoes and as well unprecedented severe damaging thunderstorms.
Going down the interstate and all of a sudden I approached the lowest set of darkened clouds I ever witnessed. They were just a bit higher off the ground than the top of a power line pole. I would say at one point possibly 100 feet at most from the roadway!
Hey guys,
This is a test video (20 seconds) to see if the Google Photos rig works a bit easier than my usual method of uploading to YouTube and posting that type of link.
This was coming back from the range after the Monday night match.
If you cannot view it or it looks bad on your screen, please let me know.
The "Google" link is just that. A link to the video whereas the YouTube video displays as a video. Try them both and they "should" look identical.

Hi ADulay
They look identical IMO.
Continued Success,
What a wicked sky earlier tonight. Completely black rolled in, over a beautiful bright clear sky. Unique as well, was the UFO looking round opening.
Well let's try this one again.
We all do something other than gamble with our daily lives and one of my things is competitive shooting.
This particular video is a run where you needed to shoot each target with three shots. Two to the body and one to the head. Pretty easy with an optic and a semi-automatic pistol but a little more difficult with an iron sight revolver! And that was the division I was shooting.
As it turned out I shot it "clean" meaning no points down for misses.
I still think YouTube is a better medium for videos but I was in a hurry today so we get Google Photos tonight.

Monday Night IDPA Stage 2 on Google Photos (https://photos.app.goo.gl/aEPpH1wCHfPjGafB9)
This is how I shoot my Sig Sauer P365 :) .
When I first saw this I thought it may be forum member ADulay.

A great view in the morning traveling east.
Starting the day.
Absolutely adore the sky on fire! Just about as much as being huge on the Bankers side after the Players slap down a Natural 8 and the Bankers having a Natural 9.
Here are 2 from last night.
What a sky this morning! Love it!
OK, let's see if Google Photos is able to work here. We shall see.
(As it turns out I couldn't get Google to work so moved it to YouTube)
Anyway, on Monday nights we have a range session with a variety of targets and scenarios. One of the Range Safety Officers always seems to put his Stanley mug in a conspicuous spot so that we're all aware that he has one.
Well, somebody finally decided to put him in his place. It wasn't me as I was the next shooter.
The Stanley mug in this video is NOT part of the stage to be shot.
AD (at least the rest of us had fun with it)
Thx ADulay. Great vid.
I perceive (from your posts), that you have a lot of expertise "in all things shooting".
What are your top three tips to help a person shoot with greater accuracy(Novice or experienced person)??
Thx in advance/may you always shoot straight, kfb
Most new shooters (and many "experienced" shooters) have a major fault with their grip.
In my duties as a Range Safety Officer and Match Director I get to see many new shooters coming into the sports and they are kind of taken aback at their dismal performance the first time they try any of the popular shooting sports.
The usual reason is a poor grip setup.
There are several thousand videos out there that demonstrate whatever the current popular handgun grip is and most of them are pretty good but it still boils down to the individual has to be able to change their poor grip for a good one.
The second reason is generally because the person may not be shooting a sidearm that works well with their hands and overall body strength.
Lots of older shooters, especially women, will show up with a revolver that is either too large for them or the trigger weight is so heavy that they can't pull the trigger! My lady is like that. Her late husband bought her a nice 5 shot revolver that is the right size for her hands but she simply cannot pull the trigger on it.
We eventually got her a small footprint Glock that merely needs 5.5 lbs to pull the trigger and she can do that with no problem.
The other big problem we see if shooters who have purchased a sidearm, got a license of some sort, depending on where they live, and then head off to the range and shoot up a box of ammunition.
They declare themselves "good to go" and never get to experience anything other than a "static range" where you shoot down a lane at a close up target.
When they get to something that involves actually moving and shooting or getting out of the way while shooting, they realize how really unprepared they are for carrying a sidearm.
Many even get rid of their current sidearm and get a new one as they realize they bought a sidearm based on advertising and not what they need for the intended tasks. This happens a LOT.
Anyway, to get back on track. . . . .
Check to make sure you have a secure and proper grip. This will solve a myriad of problems.
Then make sure the tool you're using is what you can work with, not what the advertising in the gun magazines say you need.
I'll see if I can drag up another video one of these days that's worth viewing. Most of mine are pretty dull but every now and then we get a funny one for sure.

Thankyou ADulay for the thorough response/expert opinions.
Great advice from ADulay up above:

***Then make sure the tool you're using is what you can work with, not what the advertising in the gun magazines say you need.
I see this 3rd one quite often. I almost fell prey to this about 10-15 years ago when researching 9mm semiautos for use as a CC.
"...Lots of older shooters, especially women, will show up with a revolver that is either too large for them or the trigger weight is so heavy that they can't pull the trigger! ..."
I concur. Personally I'm not a big fan of revolvers(Especially long-barrel higher calibers: .38, 44,...etc. IMO too cumbersome plus I don't care for the the trigger pull. I have several that I purchased through police auctions mainly as an investment/ not for daily use(or any use). Otherwise, I probably wouldn't own any revolvers.
Just my preference.
Cheers/ thx again.kfb

On the way to the casino last weekend:
Had to have one of these with the coffee for a bit of forum editing early morning!!
Backing out of my buddies garage to go to the casino. Yeah, nice ride for sure. Absolutely mint in every way.
Aha!
Yellow sports cars you say?
When I first met my wife in the early 70's, this was her ride.
A blast to tool around with but you froze your butt off in the winter as the heater pretty much only kept the ice off the windshield and that was about it.
A really fun sports car though.

Among others things, the other night I cooked a dish of manicotti with homemade sauce for fellow baccarat players getting together for one of our regular discussions.
I snapped a picture when I took it out of the oven.
One of the most fantastic and complete rainbows I have ever seen!
