When will the new [software-only] forum open?

Hello friends. Sorry for the question but when will the new forum open?? Members alrelax and esoito have given the money already. $ 60 USD are paid between the two. What is required now to open the new forum? I had the impression by the previous thread that as soon as members would pay the new space would open immediately. I was doing a small program in Basic256 in a hurry to post there to give my support. Since the money is paid what else is needed? What is missing now?

What will happen with the requests made in private areas here. Are they being deleted? Will they move to the new space?

And finally: Can you tell if my contribution this month is no longer needed? I mentioned this but I give for maintaining the forum not for the pockets of staff. If you have enough already I do not see a need to give this month either. In any case please inform. I am willing to give my $ 5 USD this month for the new forum. Only if the need appears.

Maybe I am a thorn in your shoe. I am just a little confused because I thought because members have paid the money since Saturday it would be online by now. The idea of the new forum just for programs is good, but not if it stays in the pipeline even after the $ 60 USD are paid. What to expect now? Please open the new website and there will be a more abundant support by users who are benefited. Greetings and very good wishes.

Patience, Walter, patience!

You seem to forget Victor has to:

* earn a living

* spend time with his family

*code his own private software

* spend some time on this forum

* sleep

* have some time off for recreation

* deal with unplanned events (we all have those at times)

* plan the new forum

* ...etc...etc

The days are 24 hours. No more. No less.

So he'll get round to the new forum when he can and when he has time, you can be sure of that.

Patience...

As an aside: kindly stop writing this sort of thing: "...for maintaining the forum not for the pockets of staff. "

I've told you before and Adulay has told you before and Victor has told you before: WE. ARE. NOT. PAID. WE. RECEIVE. NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, in this case better to ask: will the new forum open before 2020? And incidentally I will ask when will it close.

Alrelax and Esoito said the money was already received so it is in the betselection paypal account now all in the hands of Victor to find the time to buy the site. About 10-20 minutes? I do not see why dragging feet. Paypal does not pay interest.

Mine is 'pending' according to PAYPAL I can only assume cause I had to transfer some funds from a bank account to PayPal and that takes a few days, that is very common and the short waiting time is always quoted at 3-5 days according top PayPal. This is the first breather I had since Sat night as the weather here has been snow, ice, high winds and lots of work on he interstate. My guys could not handle it all. Rolled over and jacked knife semi tractor trailers with haz mat spill releases, plenty of them. The wind chill has been below zero, dangerously cold for us working outside. So, I am sure you will receive the funds this week, will let you know when the available balance is there to fund it. Thanks, Alrelax.

Thanks to you for shedding some light on this.

On my side, I continue preparing the new website and accompanying programs at the "night shift"...

Guys, we're set to be *the* free and open source gambling software worldwide. There's no rush, main goal is to get it right so we don't have to re-engineer much down the road.

Thanks again; as soon as funds clear, the new site is bought for it to be online immediately. Open to general/public registrations.

Good news being the more open-source code present, the easier it is to implement new modules. This means -over time- module developers (including myself) have to code less to bring new modules into existence.

We are in fact giving birth to a virtuous cycle to benefit communities interested in building software for our field, world-wide.

Dear Walter, contributing is more a matter of ensuring the forum continues over time rather than "firing it" for any single month. We have to cover for maintenance every month. As you have witnessed already, on the one hand there's a good amount of support for some months, on the other hand, the forum is struggling at times throughout the year.

If you give in a "good month", rest assured your contribution covers for another month when support may be flaky. Such cushion gives us peace of mind.

Contributions are 100% optional; if they aren't used in a month, they "roll over". It is public/open there's been support this month -gladly-, so give at your personal criterion and utmost convenience

I could swear I have read that the funds had been received. Thus only $ 10 were received in betselection paypal account of the $ 60 USD mentioned. Apologies and I feel a bit silly about that. it was not even my money. Alrelax Thanks for clarifying.

Now the question remains: for when, what day, date, month, year, the new site opens. Or the date is still in the nebula? If so talk again. At least is it for this November? It is to know if I have to prepare something or rather take advice from Greenguy? I will not say to never give a penny anymore as Greenguy but I am going to shirk this year with site maintenance. You are on your own.

You have NO IDEA what you are accusing me of and NO RIGHT to say what you did. No one on my end so called 'welched' on a donation promise.

I have no idea why I am explaining this to a nothing person, but- my Paypal account had a out of state bank where I used to live and cannot deposit cash into at the moment and I was in the process of adding another bank account and Paypal has to make a couple small deposits and verify, etc. I am waiting for the verification and load to the account. Why am I even explaining this to you??? Money already sent to Vic.

OH BTW, I sold on Ebay for years and NEVER had a bank account linked to it. I had a Paypal debit card to withdraw from an ATM if I wanted to. Anyone can have a Paypal account with an email address only, check it out.

Here it is even simpler. My PayPal was exhausted, I had to transfer funds into from a bank account. No matter if a bank account is linked or not, it takes a few days. In my case I had to add another bank account to fund my Payapl. Where I reside there is no place to buy a prepaid card at a store to add instant funds to Paypal.
