Thanks for posting!
Or why so many players hate when you touch their chips. They don't want the dealer, floor managers, or surveillance getting it wrong in review. I had one player pussy check me because another player moved his stack a little. Wasn't me bro!
And then you have the baccarat players that are all over which is fine, but when they lose track of what they are doing and get confused...

Good only for casual and once in a while trial of luck. It doesn't earn in long term. I have simulated it for a very long data. It loses.
Based on what bet selection? Every bet sizing would be subject to bet selection first whether simulated or real plays.

Sorry. I thought it was a good example of this:
1) Win and give it all back and then attempt to recoup and win again while losing your funds;
Or,
2) Lose and keep losing in the attempt to win.
How may we delete it? I move to delete it if possible.

Very aggressive - The Gambler opening scene.
- $10,000 buy-in.
- Wins at black jack doubling up to get to + $80,000
- Loses a $40,000 bet
- Takes the $40,000 and gets a $40,000 marker to bet $80,000 and loses that.
- Loses $500 on a high card draw
- Now owes $240,000 to the house and must pay within 7 days.
- Borrows $50,000 from the guy he lost the high card draw to at 20 points fee.
- Pays the house back $40,000 and take $10,000 to gamble more.
- Back to black jack.
- Bets $10,000 - win.
- Bets $20,000 - win.
- Bets $40,000 - win by standing on a 12.
- Bets $80,000 - win with black jack over a 20.
- Takes the entire $240,000 to roulette and bets it all on black. 19 red.
- Borrows spending money from the guy he lost the high card draw to at 20 points fee.
Doesn't play baccarat in that scene or the entire movie.

Alrelax's Blog / Re: Recognition, Identifying & Intuition (4 of 10 in a Series)
June 19, 2017, 03:32:47 PM
I am very thankful I came back over here because I wondered what happened to the series.
Here is an example of intuition. The primary player (Player 1) at the table driving was typically making selections toward the trail end of the betting window. The other very experienced player (Player 2) and everyone including myself lined up on Bank. Then Player 1 pushed in on Player for his bet. When I am not playing well I tend to not like split decision tables at all for bigger stakes. When Player 2 reduced his bet from down to about 20% of his initial amount, I wanted to pull my bet. I pretty much was doing it as the dealer was ready to deal, but the whole rest of the table was commenting like 'what we are all going to bail out on Bank now' type looks and expressions. Sure enough Player one, and it was Player 1's confidence on the play, Player's 2 recognition of that, and me and a few others that then had second thoughts that all were marks of intuition.
We're speaking about uncertainty an nuance, but that is the game.

Makes sense that a very critical splinter thread is started completely elsewhere.

General Discussion / Re: B&M casino players?

We just did a haz-mat spill clean up for a company that spilled 900 gallons of Jet A fuel at their hanger. I picked up some paperwork by mistake a couple of days ago and saw these figures on a Flacon 50 jet:
200/400 hours per year.
4 hours a week and 200 per year. $900,000.00 cost per year
8 hours a week and 400 per year. $1.4 million cost per year
Good luck, make sure you wager max on Fortune7!
Yeah, whether it's business or playing you have to reach the crossover point where your time is worth more than the money.

Yes, and by Falcon one day. Others are already doing that. It is clear who doesn't play. Players can talk about one aspect of the game for days.

Money Management / Re: Money Management Advice/Help
December 28, 2016, 07:42:11 PMQuote from: Xander on January 18, 2014, 01:39:56 AM
If people don't already know how to manage there money while gambling, then they shouldn't be playing.
Everything that gamblers need to know about money management can be written on just one page. Too much time and money are wasted on the subject.
Gambler's should spend more time focusing on how to get the edge, and less time worrying and reading about money management and gambling discipline. Money management and gambling discipline never has, and never will affect the house edge.
Unfortunately It's all that some gambling authors have to sell because they suck at math.
I play with experienced, skilled players most every day and my take is that everyone could improve on money management. You believe house edge has an impact on player performance? What do you play? Do you even play?
The fact of the matter is that in a game like baccarat house edge has near zero impact on play over any time frame. EVEN IN THE INFAMOUS WORLD FAMOUS NOTORIOUS LONG RUN WHERE THE DARK WIZARD AND HIS BLACK RIDERS HAVE FINALLY HAD ENOUGH OF YOU AND WEEEEEEEEELLLLLAAAAAAAAA THE GAME CHANGES! Game math - lo FN l has zero to do with it. Why on earth so many conflate the numbers that a casino deals with and manages with that of a player is beyond me. Of course, most every game has bets that aren't worth it or incorrect play based on fees and expenses, but anyone serious about a game should pick up on that in short order.
Game theory, game math, game design, everything about what a casino and their industry colleagues innovate and put out there is incredible, but they have their domain of risk and reward that differs. Individual players with skill can grip it and rip substantial win and still have periods during a session were they get rolled hard. Bet selection is critically important, but even the best of the best can only be so good. Money management is crucial for locking in win and winning back after rough streaks.
