All very interesting....  But I'm struggling to see how it all fits in to the title of the thread!!

But, as I say, it's interesting so carry on.

"You learn from your losses."

Yeah that is a great comment. But the big question is, HOW? What is the process? What needs to be done? How you can become stronger after a setback. How can you bounce back after a defeat. How you can maintain the passion and not let a loss burn you out?

Here is a simple formula. 10X=Y

Y represents a wager whether it is $10 or $10K. X is all those little things you have to do correctly before Y. For some people they have to do 10 things and for others 20. This is just an example since we are all different. Being successful at the tables is not just about winning money. It is about proper preparation. To me it is about knowing how to play correctly and winning the same amount consistently while having a balance lifestyle outside the tables. In other words things at the casino becomes really darn boring and pretty much "predictable." You know when to leave good or bad.

Since this topic has been brought up.

Gonna save you folks $500 an hour from speaking to a Poker Coach.

Journaling. You just don't know what a great and important tool this is! Writing down your pitfalls, fears and whatever held you back or you think will hold you back. Then lists your remedy(ies) on how to approach them. Once you are mentally prepared to face and deal with whatever problems/issues you will be that much more prepared. Then next time you won't repeat them.

In Confessions of a Winning Poker Player, Jack King said, "Few players recall big pots they have won - strange as it seems - but every player can remember with remarkable accuracy the outstanding tough beats of his career." So true!

Some folks told me if I hang out here long enough I can achieve X-Ray vision.

Don't get too upset alrelax. You are not his first victim and target. He does it to many others. Now you get to occupy his psyche and live rent free in his mind.

" If you can't do anything about helping to run community at least let others do it peacefully."

Excellent post, Albalaha.

Rule 4 is beckoning and Rolex-Watch has run out of rope and my patience with it. He's attacked Alrelax once too often...

Thank you very much Esoito. Now hopefully his ban is permanent along with his other username John. Be prepared though he will come back with many other nics spamming your board masking his IP in doing so like he did at the Wizard of Vegas and Vegasmessageboard. He is also permanently banned at those sites as well.

Update: That was fast. Now John/Rolex-Watch comes back and registers as timex-watch in here. Maybe the Mods should ban his IP address like what Sonya did at VMB as a precaution but still not bullet proof but it is quite effective.

If you can conclude this so easily, stop playing online or play only live dealers. I have seen people winning even million chips on RNG (Ralph being an example from this forum alone) of bv.
Remember, if you do not have a winner method, you can always get a streak of losses. Honestly evaluate your method and you will found hundreds(if not thousands) of probabilities you can lose with. Did you jump when you won 10 sessions in a row?

I only play at brick and mortar casinos. With real decks. 10 sessions in a row? That is way too much. I leave after 3 or 4. After a while the Peter Principle takes hold. Plus I am not in a state that allows online gambling at the moment so that is out of the question. For now.

Online casinos cheats. It has happened before. Look and read up on the Absolute Poker/Ultimate Bet scandal. Anything digital I say beware. Even if you are at an actual casino. If there are no actual physical decks of cards involved, stay away.

Roulette deals with physics. Baccarat does not and it is rules based. So no they are not the same in the approach.
