Hey Al.
I almost met Sammy Gravano. Did you know any of the guys?  I say almost 'cause I didn't speak to him, he was at a casino in Biloxi, (Biloxi has a long history with the guys).   I was near within a few feet of him and we locked eyes for a second and I think o s--t there's Sammy. He had a wig but, you know, you could tell. I was around the same area as he and we locked eyes a couple times and he gave a smirk then drifted toward the hotel.  He probably thought I was a tail.  This was before his arrest in AZ.

On Imspirit " Can you get rich betting on birthdays" link there is a three column with 8 possible out comes. Take a look at the site because I can't explain it.

They  make an interesting point and a good read.

On Imspirit  several methods are examined pointing out why each one may fail.

Omg is the Stardust gone ? I was there in the mid late seventies. Paved parking lots were still on the strip and wide spaces separated the casinos on the strip.   I still have a match book from the Dunes with its picture and logo on its cover. Wow, things have changed, its difficult to believe. Its interesting to have those memories of a different time.

Greetings to all.
I know nothing about betting sports.

I once got lucky at a free weekly pick one of the casinos had each week, win or lose without a spread.    The deal was to pick the winning teams for all the weekend 15 NFL games and be the first of several hundred or so who did,  So you had to choose your picks before late Wednesday to be even close.

I did this every week becoming better at picking winners using the stats published in Wednesday paper and mental comparison.   I'd hit 9 to 13 winners each week. And then I hit all 15 and won the $2,000. prize.   A co-worker buddy who lives and talks football daily 365 says yeah its always someone who doesn't have a clue.
:) yep that's me.

In general, the larger your sample size, the more correct your conclusion of the whole group.  The sample result will be a similar result of the group in total.  What is a proper sample size, I don't know you may want to google that.  A sample size to small may result in a false conclusion.
I feel a sample size of 3 is to small for a group of 10.  Although, a sample size of 30,000 may be ok for a group of 100,000.
