Bayes' Blog / Re: The Prediction Formula
October 19, 2014, 02:57:19 AM
I wonder what would be the basis of predictions. ???
It has to be a logical approach, if it is your own innovation.

QuoteWhat does it take to be the very last forum we'll ever need?

Commitment to respect contributors, maintain harmony and unbiased attitude and overall a commitment to never try to sell the community. If you can't handle it, let anybody else do this. I can never respect the decision of selling a community on one pretext or other. Either it is not a community in true sense for you or you can not think of selling it or closing it ever. If we stand by you in bad times and contribute financially, to run it, we do not expect it to be sold or closed.

What kind of bet is this showing so many wins and almost negligible losses?

Both are very experienced fellows. At times, they get emotional and a bit authoritative too but I haven't seen them taking sides. They are skilled enough to properly "word" what they want to convey. They are truly, "Guardians" of this place. Vigilant and caring. :applause:

QuoteIf it's income Victor needs, then why all the pretentious requests for donations for site costs?

It could be the joke of the millenium. $30 as an income !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Even Victor earns a dinner from this site, I would wonder that. All tips (I won't call it donations) to this forum will help us back having more resources. Tipping will be voluntary and those reluctant or worried to do so, need not jump at those doing that.
I believe many guests do want to tip but many get struck to not find the suitable way to do so. Max(Esoito), being in UK, u r the most fortunate person to manage all e-wallets. Can you setup all and let all know? If you have all or a few ready, let us know them as well. Paypal is already there.

It is really a pity that $30 has caused so much troubles with a forum with gamblers playing for real money and talking of everything under the sun here. Thanks God that it is over now but please do something that ensures that no such problem comes ahead.
I have troubles with using paypal for paying anyone from my country. Earlier, Vic could use moneybookers (now skrill ) and paypal both so I always extended my help in such cases. How about creating a pool of funds for maintenance of this forum? A separate section for donations where not just paypal but ecopayz, neteller and skrill (earlier moneybookers) accounts and even Western Union and Moneygram should be set up and all members can pay whatever they wish when they win good online or in real casino with whichever payment mode, one wishes. We can tip croupiers and waitresses then why can't we tip the forum too? Pay anything from Euro 1 to Euro 50, as you wish.
Esoito, Vic or anybody else come forward with these accounts and these funds will help Vic and this forum as and when required.

While it is a topic that deserves too much attention and innovation, I see absolutely no work on it.
Why can't we create an MM that fights with randomness for long sustaining through worst of it and ultimately winning when variance cools down to the level of the house edge alone or closer? If you analyse any bet, you will find that after a reasonable span of time, a bet gets smooth enough to be beaten. All the extremes of variance are temporary and gradually every bet confirms to the mathematical expectancy attached to it, including the house edge. We see all the progressions meant for few spins or a small session. Have anybody ever thought of a long term progression? By long term, I mean like a progression for an EC for 500 spins or 1000 spins for a dozen or may be until we get a net win.

Long term doesn't only mean a single long session of thousands of spins but could be for 10 or 20 sessions or more taken together as long run.

So, after about a month of beginning all this, what is your ROI?

Money Management / Re: Can anyone figure this out?

Labby and fibonacci are failures in all their forms as martingale. In the given series of losses and wins, it finishes with 4 Wins and 2 Losses in last 6 spins/hands. Every progression has a limit where it appears the best. When adverse cases comes, it bites dust. By looking at the series, it is evident that he is not betting every spin, since his bankroll is not moving up/down in every step.

It is very strange that he is showing reduction of bankroll in the last step, where he has a win. From +5 in second last to +4 at last, while both are wins.

We recognize him as Bayes, for long long time. Since vlsroulette days. Truth may look bitter or boring but is still better than false assumptions.

I would like Bayes to come as Bayes again with the same avatar of Bayes.
