Sam, I am pretty certain he did update the book unless I am thinking of Lee Tutor's book, lol.

Anyway....I tested 1000 spins at Spielbank Wiesbaden on a single 0 wheel and it's up 60 units.

What I did was just go across the card using the first 20 spins from each column.

I was impressed by the winning streaks it threw up.  There were several days where it won or broke even on all 12/15 games.

Where it breaks down is when you get the double loss (6 units) in a game and the other games start winning on the third spin meaning you break even.

Remember....Ellison is claiming a flat bet advantage, so I am not using any kind of progression and I think that would be too dangerous anyhow when those double losses clump which they have a tendency to do.

I will test it some more today and see what happens!

Online Casinos / BGO casino from Isle Of Man

I was having a look at this one tonight as it is a new one to me.

They have Live Dealer games from Macau with minimum bet of £1.

You get 20 free spins on the slots for signing up.

They also give you a 200% match bonus on your initial deposit plus a further 180 free spins. (20 a day over 9 days)

What I like about the 200% bonus is that it only comes with a x5 wagering requirement. This is pretty much unheard of today. (unfortunately the bonus does not apply to roulette)

I watched the Live Roulette for 20 minutes or so and the wheel has no scatter on it like the dublinbet wheels. It threw up a lot of repeats and neighbours in the time I watched it. I didn't get kicked out for just viewing either.

They don't accept U.S. players.....but it looks ok for the European guys.

By the way, it is for the 00 wheel only.  I can show you that in the book.  It's in the letters at the end.

What page is that on Sam?

On page 228 where he talks about the 'Business plan'....

He mentions gathering data for both the European and American wheel.

''Then, you need to gather table data from the roulette version  (European vs. American) you expect to play.''

This suggests it is playable on both.

cheers

p.s. Just thinking about it and not having a go at you Sam....but it would be ridicuous for him to suggest the method is only suitable for 00. If anything....he should be imploring players to look for the single 0 wheel when playing this. His 7% might hold up a bit longer. [smiley]aes/wink.png[/smiley]

any reason why he choose those selections at A and B? Also will it be the same selection for european roulette?

Hello weddings

No! There is no reason given for the selections.

Yes! It applies to both single 0 and 00 roulette.

The few extra rules to throw into the mix are as follows.....

Let's say you don't have either a dominant A or B after 5 spins...

Then continue to note the results and when either A or B wins for the first time...Then that qualifies the other one. (remember to wait for the trigger)

Here is the other important rule and which leads to a table not qualifying....

The A or B that you are going to bet on must NOT have come up in two consecutive spins during the qualification process.

and the last one.....

Let's say the 5th spin in the qualification process is the B and that's what you are going to bet on (B) If it did not also appear on the previous spin, you do not need to wait for another B as the trigger. Start betting on the B now.

That's it guys!

I am away to test it now.

This is my interpretation of the method...

You will have 2 groups of numbers. Let's call them A and B.

A = The 1-6 sixline and the 31-36 sixline.

B = The 10,11,13,14 quad, the 17,18,20,21 quad and the 25,26,28,29 quad.

Now what you need to do is go up to the marquee and look at the last 5 numbers.

22
7
11
33
3 (the last number)

Put in either the A or B marking where appropriate.....

22
7
11  B
33  A
3    A

Now you look to see if either the A or B is dominant.

In this case the A is dominant with a ratio of 2:1.

So you will play the opposite of the dominant (which was A) and play B.

However you will not start playing for B until you see another appearance of the B.

When B does make another appearance...play it for 3 spins.

Quit on a win or quit after 3 losses.

Let's see what happens...

22
7
11   B
33   A
3     A  (B is the qualifier)
--
11   B (This triggers the bet)
32   L
35   L
30   L (Stop here after 3 losses)

What you would do now is wait for another B to qualify and this re-triggers the bet for a further 3 spins.

33
28   B (This re-triggers the bet)
28   W (Stop here on a win)

What you do now is move to a new table and start the whole process again.

Like I said, it's not that complicated. There are a few extra rules that I will add in the next post.

Hello

This could be a great area where we share info on gambling related material.

My favourite game is Roulette and I have many books on the subject. So I will attempt to re-read them all and share some info.

I make an effort to try and re-invest some of my roulette winnings into books that I think look interesting. Many people do something similar in all areas of life....like taking that P.C. course to improve your skills and job prospects. So why should our gambling enterprises be any different.

One thing I am not looking for in a roulette book is the 'holy grail'. I would be constantly dissapointed if that was the case. What I am looking for is to hopefully learn one little piece of info that I can add to what I already know or maybe get an idea or two that can spark some creative thinking.

So on with the show.....

The first book I am going to review is 'Gamble to win: Roulette' by R.D. Ellison.

I just received it yesterday and I am almost finished. I have known about this book for several years and the claims by the author of a 7% edge over a 00 wheel. It has kind of had mixed reviews on the various forums.

The centrepiece of the book is the 3Q/A reverse method. I will need to explain this in my own words so as not to infringe on any copyright. Thankfully it is not a complicated method and I was surprised by the simplicity of it. I thought it might be much more complicated than what it is.

I will run some tests and come back and explain the idea with my results and we can see if it holds up to tha author's claims. I am not holding my breathe to be honest...but hey, you never know!

Online casinos want to take away any advantage you may have in the casino. faster spins are a way.

Yeah, makes sense!

There were times I had just finished working out my bet when the next round of cards were coming out of the shoe.  The thing I like about dublinbet and their baccarat is you can play against a live shoe for 10 cents a game. So it's great for testing out any strategies against a live shoe. (not so great if you can't work your bet out in 15-20 seconds)

Online Casinos / The speed of online casinos
November 23, 2013, 07:15:28 PM
I was playing at a few casinos today and the speed of the dealing is ridiculous in some cases.

Dublinbet Punto Banco (baccarat) is around 2/3 hands a minute with no players at the table.

The roulette there seems pretty fast as well.

I notice all the Playtech casinos have around 20 second spins as well.

Does this put any of you guys off? Do you prefer playing RNG because of this?

I am curious. Somebody once said 'system' players lose more money than anybody else. So why anger them by spinning like the clappers. Is it because more online players are likely to be using a system compared to the B+M players and are a bit more savvy.

The only casino that seems to give you a bit of extra time is Smartlive with their 60 second spins.

Does it all just boil down to the fact that they are greedy and more spins per minute = more [smiley]aes/money.png[/smiley].  (probably)

General Discussion / Re: Roulette Library section?

Cheers Vic!

Yes of course.....there is nothing stopping us sharing ideas in our own words so as to prevent any breach of copyright.

The collective library we must have between us would probably take 2 libraries to fill up.

I just received a copy of 'Gamble to win roulette' by R.D. Ellison this morning.

That will be my first review.

He promises a 7% edge. (not sure about that however [smiley]aes/smile.png[/smiley])

New Zealand 20  defeated England 18.

What a bruising encounter that was!

England did themselves proud putting up a very bold show. The game was decided in the last minute by England giving away a silly penalty leading to a Kiwi try.

Fair play to the Kiwis and good luck to them in the Final.

Going down the handicap route lost me a few sheckles.

I should not jinx my bet.

I did get it back however on a quick game of live roulette!   :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:

The action hots up today in the first Semi-Final at Wembley Stadium.

I think New Zealand have a great opportunity to book their place in the Final at the expense of England and face Australia who should beat Fiji later on with the minimum of fuss.

The Kiwis look the in-form team to me, in this comp and have superstars across the park.

Most of their players compete in the Australian NRL.

Quite a few of them (Sonny Bill-Williams, Jared Warrea-Hargreaves and Roger Tuivasa-Shek) play for the Sydney Roosters who have just won the Premiership back in October. Throw in Foran from Manly and the Bunnies hooker Isaac Luke and you are looking at a strong classy outfit.

I watched England against France in the Quarter Final last week and they dissapointed me. They looked slow and pedestrian in attack and I am not convinced they have the intensity in defence to stop the Kiwis scoring 4-5 tries.

Looking at the betting....

Ladbrokes are going 10/11 giving England a 6 point start. (This equals a converted try)

Alternatively.....you can get 4/9 on a Kiwi Win in 80 minutes.

I am going down the handicap route.

This IMO is one of those 5* betting opportunities that does not come around too often.

As they say in the trade......Fill yer boots!  :cheer:

General Discussion / Roulette Library section?
November 23, 2013, 11:19:04 AM
How about a section on Roulette books?

There are 500 members, and we have likely read everything out there between us all.

A thread could discuss a book and also suggest improvements that have been made along the way.

It would be good to have it all in one section as a reference point.

Definately the best book I have read on Roulette in 2013!

A lot of good stats in the book and he covers most aspects of the game.

The Kindle version is a lot cheaper than the hard copy for anybody interested.

Hello esoito,

Yes! It works out at about another £30 on top of the book price + postage. (total £160)

I had never noticed the import charges myself until I had a second look the other day.

Still think it's a bargain considering what some guys are paying for the actual book itself if they can get hold of it.

The guys that have shelled out 1k-2k for a copy on the AP forums all say it was money well spent and have recouped the price of the book and then some more on top.

It seems some of the games where you can get an edge are on the various side bets you can make at certain card games. These type of bets are popping up all over the place in the UK now.

There was a recent games convention in London showcasing a lot of new games that could end up on the gaming floor.

Now one bit of info I got reading between the lines of the book review is that it is possible to transfer over some of these AP techniques to different games or at least have an idea of how to go about it.

So there could be an opportunity in the UK with all these new types of bets. Who knows?

So I consider buying the book a bit of an educated gamble.
