I will swap 5 holy grails for one of your daughters Superman!  :))

This is an interesting topic because you can genuinely have an edge on your competitors depending on the skill and experience you have.

I know several people from the Betfair forum who are 'experts' in their chosen field.

The thing is however they are not just betting before the match/event.

They 'trade' throughout the match. This offers them a lot more scope because they can keep evaluating the situation.

It's a little bit like 'situational play' in roulette. Someone might decide to go to the casino and bet on number 5 all day long. However we all know it's possible that number 5 may not appear for hundreds of spins. The situational player might see number 8 getting hot and decide to switch over.

So you can see that a trader needs to put in the hours because he is constantly monitoring whatever event he is involved in. I believe this is the best way to go with sports betting.

cheers

General Discussion / Re: casino shills on the internet

That's funny Gizmo because he (Saliu) had the cheek to say others ripped off his work later down the line.

Thanks for the link.

General Discussion / casino shills on the internet
December 24, 2012, 04:13:47 PM
Albalaha was talking about Ion Saliu on another thread and it got me thinking about shills who deliberately put out false/misleading information on the internet to muddy the waters.

They come in all different guises and I can't ever remember reading a thread on the subject. I suppose we have to be careful what we say but there is nothing to stop us posting our general thoughts without naming names.

Regarding Ion. He is certainly an interesting character!

One thing I notice is that he is attacked from a lot of different quarters within the gambling community. Now this could be a good thing meaning he is on the right track and people who think they might have something to lose will bash him.

I was watching a short video the other day of one guy in a vegas casino showing how to play all the games. No doubt this guys books are in all the casino book stores as well.

Now one of the questions you have to ask yourself is would the casinos let Stanford Wong shoot a video in their casino explaining the subtleties of shuffle tracking? NOT ON YOUR LIFE!

It would be like me letting the guy who broke into my house give demonstrations in my living room to wannabe crooks how he did it!  :))

So what should newbies be looking out for and what are the tell tale signs that give the game away?

I was just playing around with your software Gizmo loading some numbers from some of my files. The even chances added to the dozens and columns can give some nice wins for a low outlay. I had a situation where the 1A RED +EVEN were missing. That just leaves 15, 17, 29, 33, 35. A nice win streak ensued. What I particularly like about this is the opportunity to use some kind of positive progression. You can afford to go up a level after every winning bet and still retain a lot of the profit.

Look at your example AMK

XX,XX,XX
XX,XX,XX
XX,XX,XX
XX,XX,XX
-- -- --
XX,14,15
XX,17,18
XX,20,21
XX,23,24
-- -- --
XX,26,27
XX,29,30
XX,32,33
XX,35,36

You had 1A, 1A. (assuming these are missing)

So I have crossed them out. That leaves 16 numbers you can cover with 8 splits.

Now let's look at it again and also assume RED is cold.

XX,XX,XX
XX,XX,XX
XX,XX,XX
XX,XX,XX
-- -- --
XX,XX,15
XX,17,XX
XX,20,XX
XX,XX,24
-- -- --
XX,26,XX
XX,29,XX
XX,XX,33
XX,35,XX

You now have 8 numbers left. 15, 17, 20, 24, 26, 29, 33, 35.

Of course this is just one example and the possibilities are endless of the type of bets you could look for.

This IMO is one of the areas where we should be looking to win at the game of roulette.

Gizmo

I never really looked at it with the B/R, E/O, H/L angle before.

That opens up more than a few possibilities. Thanks.

Hello AMK.

These are from my files. I just pasted this batch.

I am a big fan of this sort of play.

Thank you very much for uploading this software Gizmo. It's very generous of you.

Can you input your own numbers as you go along?

edit: I sussed it!

Thanks.

Here is a 100 spins showing you the very furthest back column or dozen in ( )

Sometimes you get both a dozen and column as the equal furthest back. They can both stay missing for a while!

It's almost impossible to not go on a win streak with these type of bets used in a sequence.

That's right! There are win streaks running most of the time in one form or another. The wheel can't help itself and you don't need to worry about the dealer because they can't see it happening right in front of them.

If you gift wrapped a HOLY GRAIL. And gave it to 10 million gamblers. How many of them do you think would even try it?

There is no holy grail! You may be able to get lucky and win more than you lose over periods of time. That's the best you can hope for in roulette.

Here is another form of PB where you won't have to wait 6 months to see any results (if you are lucky!)

http://baccaratforums.com/t7202/

@ JL

PB has been around in one form or another for years. I first wrote about it on a forum about 5/6 years ago. A lot of people have tested it and reported it as a failure. The reason I don't knock it is because the basic premise can be improved upon. There is no point in going down with the ship. You wouldn't need to prove anything to anybody if it actually worked in it's basic format. Roulette would no longer exist if it worked like that.

"I cannot imagine being down 2k Bally."

I was speaking in general terms JL.

A card counter with a 3% edge and a 10k bankroll could be easily down 1k-2k after a really bad shoe.

So us guys facing 2.70% or 5.40% are going to run into some right nightmare situations (hit and run or not)

But I agree with you about attitudes and discipline. It's a much tougher game without them.
