Let me make it real easy for you Glen.

Try Schizophrenia. I have always acknowledged it. Where have you been magic?

Great thread idea. And it's mostly true, of others that is. My one and only student just knocked one out of the park today. The person is the only student that has my latest teaching software. He just won more than ten practice sessions on his own, only after two weeks of studying with me as his mentor. His reaction is that it might just be a lucky streak. But I know from his bets selections that I did a great job of preparing him for such a challenge. So not all claimers are here and then gone. I might post an update in a few weeks. But I just wanted you smart guys to know that it is really fun teaching a new player from scratch. It's far more fun than posting on the argue forever forums. It really helps if you know your stuff too. Private tutoring is way more enlightening. It's even better than 20 students all at once.

"The best roulette players play both online and in land based Casinos" >> Wrong.

Ken

I'll say it once more. I said it somewhere, on some forum.

As a programmer I can create a fake live feed with patched together video. But I can't put aside a real table where the outcomes can be compared for true live feed. But that does not matter much because RNG computer based internet casinos can cheat you and target you in one ten thousandth of a second. It can manipulate your play and bait you into fallacies to get you to chase your losses. I would if I had suckers coming in my internet door with dreams of hitting it rich.

I get that you don't want to hear more gizmotron crud. When you go looking for randomness characteristics you will run right into what causes them. You can decide that it is due or you will understand that it is just coincidence.

Once you see the global effect you will never be able to then not see it anymore.

Now you don't need to be bored by my content in your thread.

I got to read it all. I told you it would be good. This is where a person can learn to avoid magical thinking and open their minds to what really happens. This is what Glen should teach to paid students that want to beat Baccarat. It's fun to open a persons eyes. I'm sure Glen could find some software that would help teach Baccarat with.

I'm burnt out from programming and teaching a student. I promise to read this thread some more. It looks really good at first glance. Just reading anything right now actually hurts. So I will get back to this. But I'll bet it is some more of your best. Great topic. It's funny too. Most system experts aren't ready for this. Not many of them are going to last past their systems stage too. It's funny just how much good advice goes by the wayside.

Really well written and well thought out discussion and topic. This is the best thing I have seen you write. It's so full of truth and experience that only a small handful of players would know that it is true. They say that a lot of good experience comes from going thru a lot of bad experience first. I see you trying to pass on wisdom. This is the real topic of gambling successfully. I just don't see how people can avoid making the mistakes. It's like they have to go thru that first.

Nice going on this thread.

You can't know when a correction will occur or how strong it will be. I'm talking about RTM. If you use a progression it will encounter a sequence of death that kills all your progress. You can learn this two ways. You can research it outside of a casino or you can take it to the casino and learn the full effect of the lesson. Go for it. There won't be a progression that works because of a wishful thinking style of expectation. Coincidence never has a cause. It just happens. That includes the perfect sequence of death.

You can't know a thing before it happens in a game with independent trials.

"The outcome of one event won't affect the next. Rolling a
die or spinning the roulette wheel has no effect on the next roll
or spin. However, dealing cards without replacement increases
the chances of the remaining cards to be dealt."

If you play a game where you know you are going to end up close to even, along the lines of the house edge, then why not flat bet to win. There will be times when the corrections of the negative side will process more to the positive side while the long run is seeking balance. Why not target corrections with a higher flat bet values and pull back to minimums during declines from balance.

http://www.scholarpedia.org/article/Law_of_series

"The dispute around the law of series clearly concerns only such events for which there are no obvious clustering mechanisms, and they are expected to appear completely independently from each-other, and yet, they do appear in series. With this restriction the law of series belongs to the category of unexplained mysteries, such as synchronicity, telepathy or Murphy's Law, and is often considered a manifestation of paranormal forces that exist in our world and escape scientific explanation. It is a subject of a long-lasting controversy centered around two questions:

1. Does there indeed exist a law of series in reality or is it just an illusion, a matter of our selective perception or memory?
2. Assuming it does exist, what could it be caused by?"

Coincidence. There should be a scientific law of coincidence.

...

And yet he sits at the baccarat table, explaining the game and its inner secrets and innuendos to another person, while he drinks alcohol, chain smoking and blowing his snot form his nose on the floor—barely missing the shoes of the person so thrilled with what he is hearing.  EZ money, quick riches, quit the full time job and gamble, all the fallacies running in the player's head each and every session.  In fact, evidentially he will learn more about baccarat from every aspect and angle while he is attempting and trying numerous systems in his hopes to get paid back for all the money he has lost. ...

My only question is this.  How come that player wagered on the losing side with his detailed knowledge with the definitive reasoning already known, as to why his wager lost?

That reminded me of a time a while back when this player that was waiting for the poker tournament to start walked up to a Roulette table where I was playing alone in the slot closest to the dealer, on the opposite side of the table where the pull-out-bar is located. He had some casino chips and just started asking me rhetorical questions. He was firing them at me like the BS cliché monologues that some people do when they try to play themselves off as when they deal the cards. I stopped placing chips on the inside as I was trying to get 24 numbers covered before the dealer waved off with "no more bets." I was alone so I reached out while the ball was still spinning and raked all my chips off the layout. I then turned to this waste of a human being and just flat out asked him, "What do you want to know? I mean really, what do you want to know?" The guy was flabbergasted. He said, "While I've never seen such a thing before." I said, "Well now you have."

I remember reading this thread more than a year ago. People can be real un-self-aware of themselves and obnoxious. The best thing to do is to rub it in when they lose. They won't get the message but it's fun the see that machinery go clanking around in their heads with that almost dear in the headlights look on their faces. My favorite of all time was the guy that quit his job because the number 32 was his new career. 32 was a hot number for two days of a three day weekend. He really called his boss and quit. Watching others play is almost as fun as winning. That third day killed him. He gave it all back and most of his life savings.

Clustering illusion or bag of gold.

You can play to gather enough flakes of gold to make the effort worth your time. And, you can keep an eye out for 2 ounce nuggets to show up in your sluice box. If you play to find the big winner, the bag of gold, you must know how to go about it.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clustering_illusion
QuoteThe clustering illusion is the tendency to erroneously consider the inevitable "streaks" or "clusters" arising in small samples from random distributions to be non-random. The illusion is caused by a human tendency to under predict the amount of variability likely to appear in a small sample of random or semi-random data.

You won't find "bags of Gold" for playing Roulette at any wiki.

1.) You must know how to detect a bag of gold.
2.) You must know how to grab a bag of gold.

If you don't know items 1 & 2 then you can't objectively dismiss the possibility that these are in fact skills that can be learned. I mean how would you know? People like to dismiss learning situations because that can't conceive of how a person would go about doing something. So it's a nonstarter right out of the gate. It is my opinion that most people want a provable edge that gives them a set of rules in order to treat Roulette like an ATM machine. I mean the desire to pick up a bag of gold is there. They just don't want to do the work to get to finding it and actually picking it up.

Rather than find that bag of gold they want to know in advance when a coincidence will happen. They want Arithmetic to solve the problem and to give them the answer. If it won't do that then they are justified to dismiss the whole idea. So that is what we see and get from people that actually want to be respected. They then use excuses like seeing things thru rose colored glasses. They tell people things that are the definition of the clustering illusion. They think they are being smart.

So someone comes along and tries to show them nuggets in the sluice box and bags of gold just sitting on the ground. Now for the past 12 years this method of communication has produced a null result. We have had the Meme & Gif monster, who has been on patrol for decades, who has just been muted, yippy, and we have the mathBoyz that have done their best to demand proof of prediction of the future. That's been a monument to the "Straw man" effigy for the past decade too.

So here is another example:

Are you serious?  Given the many posts GlenBaccarat1979 made in the Hillary 2016 , they still exist by the way.

I loved that thread. It was before the actual election. We had a free for all. Nobody died. Well not exactly. They are erecting a gallows for Hillary. The top guys at the FBI are really in trouble now. But that's not us. Let's keep it gambling. Any odds?

Thanks, I'm on a great plan already. I specialize in lots of bacon and beer. This is actually good advice from some late breaking news. The toadies that recommend hanging on to the last, to the life raft in a force five hurricane, just don't understand the situation. I should have been dead 100's of adventures ago. I'm going out in a blaze of glory if I'm lucky enough.  "Live long and prosper." "Resistance is futile."
