Follow up from the OP just above.

The bill passed/ folks from the "Show-Me-State" can now place legal sports bets.

In the link below the interesting part to me was that CET spent $14Million in an effort to block its passage. Money that would have probably been better spent improving their properties, increasing profit to stock holders, and maybe not squeezing patrons with resort/parking fee,...etc.

Alrelax's Blog / Re: Monkey See, Monkey Do

:)

"...I bring him in my pocket to the casino and occasionally when I or the entire table are calling for a monkey, pull him out.  Yes, he is solid gold and about the size of a thumbnail.

Call it superstitious or quackery, it does bring smiles and pats on the back when it works. ..."

*I play with an elder Asian lady that always pulls out a rabbits foot (about 3-4" and looks like a key fob), and places in her lap (for the whole shoe). Most other players don't notice it. Sometimes a friend of hers will ask to see it or touch it.

I do not know if it helps. I will have to ask her, lol.

"...The decline to $727.7 million was related to a steep drop in baccarat play, the Nevada Gaming Control Board said Tuesday in an email. Betting on baccarat was down 22%. .."

Anyone have additional thoughts as to WHY for the decreased Bac play????

Maybe just the time of year(?how does the above data compare with same time period in last 3-7years)?
For example compared with 2022,21,20, and before Covid: 2019,18,17,16,...etc.
Maybe just typical fluctuations??

Just pondering.

Thx Asym for your reply.
"...Say from 3-5 up to 12-15 bet per shoe.  ..."

My number of wagers per shoe is very similar to yours.

AsymBacGuy. Good thread/ hope this finds you doing well.

Asym in post #1179:

"...a) Outcomes are randomly distributed? It's a total bighorn.sh.it.

b) Yes, any bet is "supposed" to be EV-, but there are more probable ranges where the EV is at least 0 (think about those hands not forming an asymmetrical hand favoring the Banker side) or where a "normal" flow is slightly more entitled to go toward the right side (CFS) at some points of the infinite shoe sub successions we can build up.

c) Gambling experts do not know a fkng nothing about how the randomness will work at baccarat.
Mainly as they haven't properly considered the RVM and M.V. Smoluchowski "theories" applied to slight dependent and asymmetrical finite successions.
Conclusion is that bac successions aren't randomly distributed. Period...."

Qs for you.

Approximately how many wagers do you make on average per shoe??
Do you ever wager bonus bets? (e.g., T,Panda,Fortune, Pairs,...etc)

Thx in advance.

Actual Baccarat Shoes / Re: Good Shoe To Follow
October 28, 2024, 01:13:22 AM
Good shoe/congrats on catching so many Ws.

"...Caught 9 players hands in that players streak with a few full parlays.  Same with the bankers streak as well...."

Personally I do not think I would have done as well as u, Re:The 9iar P streak.
I "think" I would have caught the P2nd--5th with a full press or parlay+ from P2 to P3(maybe into the P4th), then pospro continued but less %press through the 5th W, (set aside that highest wager following the 5thP(my 4th W) for later reentry into this shoe or latter shoe).

Then reduced to about 3 increments above my (Mean Losing Bet) thus far in the whole shoe and finished out the P run from W5 onward regressing $5 on each successive W through the 9th W, never wagering less than my base unit.
I doubt I would have made any bonus bets.

I could see the EzBac owners pitching this to the current casino customer as well as to potentially new cas:

"...Galaxy is also enhancing the venerable EZ Baccarat game, which hadn't changed since its introduction 18 years ago. Reback said operators may choose to add the Golden Talons and Divine 9 side bets to complement the Dragon 7 and Panda 8 of the original game, with no increase in the operator fee..."

I would think that most cas would bite on the idea of getting an additional two bonus bets on the layout (without paying additional licensing rights above the current rate),...etc.

Reback also added: ..."Reback said the additional bets will not impact on the speed of the game, a key part of its attraction for operators and players. "These two side bets are extremely easy to resolve, as easy as Dragon 7 and Panda 8." He added that several operators have asked for additional EZ Baccarat side bets..."

Im most certainly sure the casinos are asking for more bonus side bets. However, it is my opinion the casinos' Hold may not increase as a direct function of (more bonus bets = more Hold) or at least the increase won't be in proportion.
Players will likely still buyin for their typical amount(say $1000) and if they do indeed feel enticed to wager the addendum bonus wagers they will still only bust the same "typical buyin" amount($1000). Most likely busting buyin a little sooner,...etc.

Just a quick thought as I seldom wager any of the bonus bets.

alelax above:

"...If I am not within the same days drive from the casino I go to, I am fine staying at a local motel (paying out of pocket) and eating at non casino restaurants 100%.  Although most places I play, $30-$50 meal comps are almost never a problem.  However, I just don't really enjoy the same places with the same menus.  Coupled with the aura of being in the casino versus outside of it, 'in the free world'. .
.."

I agree 100% about getting out of the casino for fresh air/ to let my brain calm down from all the bells/sirens from the slots.
I usually play during the day /during week at most of my casino markets. However, one market I go to on weekends or maybe (thurs-fri-sat) has five casinos and typically I meet a group there every couple weeks. I often get a Hampton Inn ($90--105), especially if my wife travels with me, that is about 15mins from each casino. I then book/give my free rooms at two of the cas to group members that have driven in from out of state. WinWin for everyone and I can play at any of them for as much or little as I desire(& eat wherever I want).

Per my post in #6 above:

"...**Also, there is  recently a new one that I will post a link to within a couple days(it's a bonus bettors dream).  ..."

In the link down below the article addresses the new EZ Bac table layout that I referenced above.

Galaxy is also enhancing the venerable EZ Baccarat game, which hadn't changed since its introduction 18 years ago. Reback said operators may choose to add the Golden Talons and Divine 9 side bets to complement the Dragon 7 and Panda 8 of the original game, with no increase in the operator fee. Golden Talons pays 10-1 for either a Player or Banker 3-card 9 and 75-1 when each has a 3-card 9. Golden Talons pays off with a natural win/tie or non-natural win by a specified number of points. The paybacks follow a posted paytable.

Reback said the additional bets will not impact on the speed of the game, a key part of its attraction for operators and players. "These two side bets are extremely easy to resolve, as easy as Dragon 7 and Panda 8." He added that several operators have asked for additional EZ Baccarat side bets. In addition, EZ Baccarat is being made available online through Evolution AB, which has agreed to purchase Galaxy Gaming for about $85 million.

Asym:

"...Arrange the cards into a shoe as whimisically as you wish and you'll notice that an overalternating 0/any different number distribution will be the less probable "movement".

In practical terms and without a proper training is quite difficult to spot such triggers and making the future bet (that's why algos should make the work for us), anyway the first player always relies upon doubles (or other specific patterns) being absent for given frames transformed into numbers...."

that's interesting.

Alrelax in Post#3 above:

"...Side bets normally any where from $5.00 min to $200.00 maximum.  Below is a picture of a $40,000.00 Blazing 777s side bet table shot."

    Awesome, was that yours?

"...I am in the middle of writing a detailed post which will include the 4 types of bac games going today that dominate the field with NO COMMISSION...."
B/P/T and Dragon
B/P/T, Dragon and Fortune 7
B/P/T and the Five Treasures layout
B/P/T and the Bad Beat layout,..."

Thx alrelax /look forward to seeing it.

*I mostly see the Ez Bac version with Panda/Fortune7(3c7 Bank). Though just recently Im starting to see more of the (Five Treasures and the Golden Frog layouts), especially in Colorado,USA..

Good points AsymBacGuy.

Asym up above:

"...Yet high end premises still do not offer EZ tables (I suspect, lol, for HE issues...)

- 1.06% is slight better than 1.01% (Banker bets)
- 1.46% is way better than 1.01% (Banker bets where a winning 6 is payed half vs EZ baccarat)
- 14% and over on Tiger, Lucky Six and Pairs side bets is a lot better than 7% and 10% on Dragon F-7 and Panda bets.

What do you think about that?..."

I do think many casinos (especially HighLimit Rooms) choose not to do the EZ Bac for the reasons you mention(i.e., Lower H.E.).Plus they would also have the addendum cost for the royalty fees to the EZ Bac Trademark owners.

Maybe the casino views the change to EZ Bac tables as unwarranted (IOW why change a business model that is making money), as the Hold is often 11-18% for Bac,...etc.
Plus, Im guessing some players may prefer and like the Midi tables for a slower more dramatic type experience. Maybe other reasons Im not considering.

*As you probably know in the the Midwest, USA most casinos don't really have high-limit rooms. (Midwest Im calling states like Mo, OK, Ks, Ar,Louisiana,..etc). They "might" have a different section or corner of the floor with some 10K table max tables. A few in Mississippi(Tunica and Biloxi), which are more Southern vs Midwest, have higher limit tables and Hi-Limit rooms. Many of the casinos in Colorado have 10K Tmax tables.

So many of my most frequented casinos do not have Tmax tables any where near what u would see in Lvegas or Indiana (50K, 100K,..etc), and most certainly not like you see at Monte Carlo in Monaco or Macau, ...etc.

EZ Baccarat co-creator attributes success to Indian tribes' embrace of game.

In my opinion there is indeed a little merit to the above theory. However, several other factors may have also contributed:
The fact EZ Bac could be dealt faster(Higher casino profits), 5% commish didn't have to be counted out every  single  hand, multiple players could more easily be stacked (stand) behind the seated players, multiple wagering spots, smart shoes didn't require as much effort/training for dealers,...etc.
