A lot of the hotels and casinos in Vegas depend on the high rollers from China. Given the vitriol against them, I suppose they feel they might as well go somewhere else where they can be appreciated to lose their money. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Or so I hear from Far East service reps of the casinos. A huge and drastic drop in China visitor flows. Not so much that their visas were rejected but more so they don't want to come to Vegas and risk intimidation.

Anyway, each party has their points of views. Carpe diem.

I am respectfully amazed with the passion shown by the contributors here under this topic. As time went by, I just want to respectfully clarify if the participants do play in a real live game be it online or B&M or are these all on paper so to speak?

I just need clarification becos in my many years of gaming, I think the single most important thing that determines a winner is emotions. It?s tremendous difficult to control oneself when you are losing 5-6 bets in a row. Whatever strategy must take that into account in real life situations. These days, I try (let me emphasise that, TRY) to walk away and refrain from further bets if I lose 3 out of my last 4 bets. No exceptions. No negative Martingales.

To draw an analogy. During this pandemic crisis, if one is in the airline industry or the hotel industry with the new normal and business is down, do you push on with expansion plans anticipating business will resume sooner or later (a win will come sooner or later)? Or do you hunker down n wait it out?

isn't that because as the number of cards are taken away or used, there will come a time when it coincides with the intended pattern.

Mmm. Its food for thought.

I have wanted to say this for a long time but given the diatribe that can sometimes be off-putting, I have bitten my tongue for a long time.

What is a house edge of 5% when winning on banker and player having a lower percentage of winning.

Brothers all, for this small house edge, you have the privilege of deciding when you want to bet or if you want to bet at all. And you have the privilege of deciding how much you want to bet subject to the table and casino limits. You may want to bet $10 or $1000 the casino has to accept. That in all negates the house edge. Not to mention the freebies.

So what's the problem? If we lose its because we are not good in controlling ourselves. Period.

When all 3 roads predicting the same outcome supported by a definitive ?highway? on the Pearl chart, you can be sure its coming out the opposite. Pearl is the vertical presentation of 6 lines down. ?Highway? means across the horizontal line, all are the same for eg on the 3rd horizontal row across say 4 columns its all Banker so on the 5 th column the highway concept is expecting also a Banker. If this is supporter by all the 3 roads pointing to a banker, I would refrain from betting Banker or maybe minimise my bet as the whole table would be pouring on to Banker.

Its not schadenfreude to see a Player win in such a case but it happens too often. If it is so certain, the casinos would be taken to the cleaners. Just some reading. You of course, are free to disagree.

Stay blessed. First time playing online as Malaysia is locked down and the only casino here, Genting is closed. Online is with live dealers and 5 tables. Interesting. Like the stadium concept

Sometimes, ok most times, when I read Asymbacguy posts, I feel myself reading a scientific journal or a chemistry reference book because I am totally lost.

Kudos to your scientific and mathematical approach to the game. I posted before some news about a group mathematically making hundreds of millions from horse betting. So I suppose it can be done also for baccarat or roulette.

I wish I have the mathematical inclination .....

Cool. I went to one of the casinos in Sri Lanka and they had all kinds of dancing right in the centre of the gambling floor including pole dancing by Eastern European ladies amidst shouts of banker! Player!

Do you normally play baccarat? Or also roulette and black jack?

Albalaha, as a matter of curiosity, where are you based? Where do you game?

Nah not daily. Just a keen student of the game. But play regularly wherever I am where there are casinos nearby. Have been to Singapore regularly recently

Marina Bay Sands has the balls. See the lower limit of S$150 and upper limit of S$800,000. If you have the balls MBS is waiting to cut it off for the negative or progressive Martingale players.

Actually I too don't think it was such an evidently manifest shoe to give that scale of winnings. Not for me anyway. But always to each, his own.
