Dozen/Column / Re: Question?

"P.S.: Please stop your heyhey. It is more annoying than impressive."

I'm pleased I'm not the only one who finds it very annoying.

Yes, please stop it. It's gone on long enough.  :nod:

@Wannawin

1  Your eyes should reveal a REGISTER button, top right.

Ugly site?  Do you really think it's finished?

Wannawin, give the man chance!  He's only just got it up and running.

The word 'patience' needs to be added to your vocabulary.  ;)

Bayes' Blog / A USEFUL BAYESIAN RESOURCE

Bayes:  I hope you don't mind me putting this in your blog because it's entirely relevant to bet selection:

" If you can't do anything about helping to run community at least let others do it peacefully."

Excellent post, Albalaha.

Rule 4 is beckoning and Rolex-Watch has run out of rope and my patience with it. He's attacked Alrelax once too often...

Off-topic / Re: When will the new forum open?
November 17, 2014, 10:52:26 PM
Patience, Walter, patience!

You seem to forget Victor has to:

* earn a living

* spend time with his family

*code his own private software

* spend some time on this forum

* sleep

* have some time off for recreation

* deal with unplanned events (we all have those at times)

* plan the new forum

* ...etc...etc

The days are 24 hours. No more. No less.

So he'll get round to the new forum when he can and when he has time, you can be sure of that.

Patience...   ;)

As an aside:  kindly stop writing this sort of thing: "...for maintaining the forum not for the pockets of staff. "

I've told you before and Adulay has told you before and Victor has told you before:   WE. ARE. NOT. PAID. WE. RECEIVE. NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you.

Gambling Philosophy / Re: "BEST BETTING QUOTES"
November 16, 2014, 07:12:52 AM
These little gems are from my hero [Nathan Detroit]... ;)

Professional players have always one foot pointed towards the door.

We are  at the casino playing to win and not playing to play just for playings sake.

My only friend  is the bankroll  which I am sworn to defend.

and the vital one:

PROTECTING the bankroll is of paramount importance.

Albalaha's Exclusive / Re: Classification of gamblers

An interesting a well argued analysis, Sumit.

Probably not far off the mark, either.  :thumbsup:

...and you've already received my $10.

Sounds good to me and is certainly something quite different to SourceForge et alia that are also based on FOSS.

But...(there's always one, somewhere!)...how will you fund it?  (Hopefully history won't repeat all the funding difficulties you've had with keeping this forum on the road.)

And I guess the new site would offer more than just gambling software? (I sure hope so, otherwise it'll be too limited in scope.)
#220
He wants both.

Not all, but several of the strategies built into his software rely quite heavily on en prison being available on a French table.

Hence his request.

#221
<sigh>  Looks like you're not going to get the specific answers you're seeking, Peter.

This site offers a list, and mentions French. So hopefully la partage/en prison is offered at some.

Your customers could email them direct, of course.

RW -- can you post any specific casinos that fulfill the characteristics listed by Mathemagician?
#223
Sadly, nobody knows what they are.   :nope:

(Jokes aside, there's probably an inner truth therein if you think about it...

You might even care to add 3 of your own.)

Sorry, Ken, but in tune with a slide in profits I had this sudden image of sliding down Occam's Razor...

(You'd walk a bit funny for a few weeks afterwards.  ;))

Anyway, I've often thought that if politicians -- and bureaucrats in particular -- subscribed to 'keeping things simple' we'd all be better off.

The simpler a betting method the less room for confusion in the heat-of-the-moment....yes?...no?

@ Ronjo

Just a thought but I'm sure if you asked Victor he would set up a blog section for you.

Ronjo's Blog, or a similar title...
