General Discussion / Re: Happy Mother's Day

Seems to be a "southern hemisphere" thing!

It was in Oz yesterday as well.

Of course, it's basically nothing to do with mothers. Just as Christmas and Easter have been hijacked by the retail sector it's another excuse for rampant commercialism.

Sumit -- ignore those trying to stir you up. OK?  Do NOT bite back.

I think it would be an excellent idea for you to provide sports picks.

After all, it fits in with the name of this forum.

As we both know, the word 'football' includes 'soccer'. And 'high probability' usually incorportates favourites.

But as in horse racing, the skill is in knowing which are the false favourites. Hopefully you have that skill.

On reflection LR could have a place in Binary Options trading where forces other than random are at work.

And assessing some of those forces can help make market predictions more accurate.

Mate, you are a STAR !!!!

Thank you so much for putting this together, despite your busy schedule that I know takes a lot of your time and energy.

With great skill you've reduced LR to the basic essentials. You've addressed all three parts of my request. And you've explained it in such a simple way that if  you're not a trained teacher already then you've missed your vocation!

The illustrations are well chosen, too.

I hope members will find this as informative and useful as I have.

Thank you again.

Calm...calm...calm down, Al.

A touch heated, and getting very borderline in your wording to the two members.

Try not to let your frustration run away with you.

For those that don't know (and I include myself in that) could someone
(Sam, yourself, Winkel himself if he looks in, or anyone who knows), give the 21st century fellows
an overview, as to what the GUT process is all about?

All you need is here:

General Discussion / Re: A BET WITHIN A BET

I'll second that excellent idea.

As it is, there are already far too many claims flying around on the forum without cold, hard substantiation to prove  -- or disprove.

Bayle, a picture is worth 1000 words.

Please could you provide an example or two?

It always helps to prevent misunderstandings and uncertainties.

Off-topic / ATM ROULETTE
April 30, 2013, 12:00:22 AM
There was a clip years ago of one of those hidden-camera prank shows, set in Reno or some other gambling hub.
Unsuspecting patrons would insert their cards and enter their PINs into a rigged ATM, and they'd wait for their money as they would at any machine.
This ATM, however, would not give them their money.

Instead, it would play a message, "Thank you for playing ATM roulette," and it would ask them to play again.

A cautionary tale...

Being philosophical about it, one could argue that the Indians were so screwed and abused by early settlers and expansionist policies that in a sort of 'karmic return' the shoe is now on the other foot!

When I learn about not only beads and mirrors in return for land but also blankets deliberately infected with smallpox (outrageous...) then one can look on these "cafe laws" almost as a type of poetic justice...

Sadly, here in Australia the Aborigines were just as harshly treated by the 'thin noses from the northern hemisphere '.

Slowly legislation is trying to improve their lot and Kevin Rudd's public apology when he was prime minister certainly helped push the Cart of Justice a bit faster along the track.

But still a way to go and obstacles to overcome.
