He did the exact same thing on VLS. it's a 'safe' date, its so far
in the future that people will forget, he'll be banned, or have
disappeared before then. Its an old flim flam trick.

Spike:  I've made a note of the date.

And made a copy of posts thus far.

So on that date I'll be looking for some response/feedback on progress at that particular milestone.

Accountability, and all that...

Just a thought but rather than bite back why not let adverse comments be the water off the duck's back?

Biting back simply encourages more of the same!!

By the same token, adverse comments of the method will be inevitable -- you already knew that, surely -- and I had to chuckle over Spike's dry wit.

Perhaps he has a point?  Some will agree...

General Discussion / HOW TO WIN AT ROULETTE... Maybe!!

Found On The Internet

Someone might be moved to try this.

Do let us know how you find it.

NB: I've sandboxed my download to check safety -- no nasties come in as well.

<sigh>....  I really wonder from the posts thus far if anyone has actually read any of the links.

I posted them as the basis for further discussion!!

Oh well...

General Discussion / Re: The Golden String
January 08, 2013, 10:03:14 AM
A couple of years ago I developed a method based on the binary patterns that make up a section of the golden string.

I recall I let 0s be red, and 1s be black.

I tested then to see if any "golden string patterns" appeared in numbers spun. (I had an idea the golden string could appear in random sequencies)

I then reversed the values and retested.

Even tried it with OE and HL.  Looked under a lot of rocks!!

Ended up inconclusive...  not really surprising!

But it kept me from playing on the road for a while.

[That was my one approach of many possibilities. So don't be put off -- your idea/approach could be the Rosetta Stone we all seek..LOL]

General Discussion / RANDOM THOUGHTS ABOUT.....RANDOM.
January 08, 2013, 12:22:21 AM
Does random really exist?

Plenty of  ponder-points here, to get you thinking:

http://cameroncounts.wordpress.com/2011/08/31/does-randomness-exist/

http://www.askmehelpdesk.com/advice/t-12733.html

http://www.physicsforums.com/showthread.php?t=246043

[Plenty more if you look.]

Let me explain why I started this thread.

The first link
in particular presents a brief , but well-structured and well-explained examination of the phenomenon.
Points she raises I would have thought were worthy of comment from readers on this forum -- if only a knee-jerk reaction!  :D

The second link
raises interesting and often thoughtful, detailed  discussion points that lend themselves as discussion catalysts here.

The third link
offers some very challenging and interesting perspectives about random from physicists, and from those with an interest in physics.

I chose the links carefully to expose a range of views from different perspectives.

Given that roulette is generally thought to be based on random acts of the ball I thought players would have a vested interest in exploring random.

And given that "random" seems to underpin many of the bet selection methods already mentioned on the forum, I also thought a closer examination of random would be entirely appropriate.

Off-topic / THE FISCAL CLIFF IN PERSPECTIVE
January 07, 2013, 11:24:05 PM
Lesson No. 1

* U.S. Tax revenue: $2,170,000,000,000
* Fed budget: $3,820,000,000,000
* New debt: $ 1,650,000,000,000
* National debt: $14,271,000,000,000
* Recent budget cuts: $ 38,500,000,000

Let's now remove 7 zeros and pretend it's a household budget:

* Annual family income: $21,700
* Money the family spent: $38,200
* New debt on the credit card: $16,500
* Outstanding balance on the credit card: $142,710
* Total budget cuts so far: $3,850

OK. Now for...

Lesson No. 2

Here's another way to look at the Debt Ceiling:

Let's say, You come home from work and find there has been a sewer backup in
your neighbourhood and your home has sewage all the way up to your ceilings.

What do you think you should do, raise the ceilings, or .........

Moderator's Warning To Drazen

It would be much better if you keep your opinions of a forum member to yourself rather than criticise him/her in public here.

And don't think for one minute that stating "no offence" as you contiinue to insult the member let's you off the hook. It doesn't.

Your behaviour is NOT acceptable.

KINDLY. READ. THE. RULES -- and observe them.  [And look up the word "inflammable" while you're there...]

An apology to Ignatus  would also be appropriate.

XXVV, that is so clearly, fluently and unambiguously stated.

As an aside, I'm a bit worried you were able to discern so accurately what was in my mind when I set up the thread!! LOL  :nod:

WELL DONE EWARWOOWAR!!

I'm so pleased someone thought the idea worth exploring further:  http://betselection.cc/private-general-board/esoito%27s-pipe-dream/

It's at least worth trying even if it all goes tits up.

The naysayers might indeed be right.  But that's no reason not to try -- they might, just might -- even be wrong...

Persistence and vision and, dare I say it, dreams as well, have always underpinned giant steps forward in whatever field you care to think of....

That said, I'll lock the topic. It's served its purpose.

If you want to be part of this grand experiment then we'll see you in the thread above.

Of course it's a pipe dream. Who in their right
mind would invent a winning method and then
share it with the world? It would cease to be
of any use almost immediately.

Why would it "...cease to be of any use almost immediately." ???

What cold, hard, irrefutable evidence do you have to support that bold assertion?

Or if it's simply your opinion then why do you think that?
