esoito, have you seen everything on offer at the BF solutions directory?
I think there are a few freebies.
That's right!
There's heaps of interesting stuff 'out there' and this will be an ideal section to explore, discuss and try out.
A tiny caveat with some of the free stuff: It's as well to see what others have to say about it first.
Most are fine, like the two I outlined above.
But there is a free bot available that, on the face of it, looks OK...but it's probably not.
It functions so poorly that many conclude it's a blatant scam aimed at capturing the users's Betfair login details !!!
I'll try to find the relevant link again.

Whereas this cutting-edge Betfair trading program was once free, you now have a 14 day trial.
Thereafter it's GBP20 for 3 months. GBP60 for 12 months.
That's a VERY modest charge for the massive amount of features and options. http://www.geekstoy.com/
For those reluctant to pay anything, JetBet from Stakesoft for betting and trading, offers 300 bets per month for no charge.
It runs under Windows and Mac AND LINUX!!
All three is most unusual!
Three comparable and reasonably-priced monthly/quarterly/annual subscriptions are available if you need to make more than 300 bets a month. http://stakesoft.com/jetbet/

Greyhound racing
Sports betting (to encompass tennis, cricket, darts, motor sports, all other ball games -- basically all that's covered on Betfair)

What am about to write is completely genuine and sincere (just so nobody takes it the wrong way)
I never cease to be amazed by the creativity of some of the posters and their ideas that are posted on this forum.
And the above Run of Three from Bally is a prime example. Brilliant. Well done!
I can imagine you coming up with some pretty cutting-edge stuff for sports betting.
Heaven knows that's badly needed in the horse-racing arena, for example, where there's now little innovation. So often the same old stuff simply gets repackaged and recycled.

OK. Thanks for that.
It's quite likely happening because of a forum-control-setting imposed by the administrator (or one of the administrators, if there's more than one).
So I'm still not quite sure why a finger was pointed at the moderators in one of the earlier posts.
Funny old world, innit?

IF -- and there is no firm proof -- but IF the moderators are in fact removing those links then that is of great concern.
If Victor ever asked me to remove links to another site because he feared competition I would simply refuse to comply.
Mind you, he would never ask, of course!! He's a much nicer person than that.
But it says much about a forum owner who initiates, encourages and condones that sort of behaviour, doesn't it?

It might be worth brainstorming ways in which these could be rigged.
Then users can go in with their eyes open.

General Discussion / MOVED: what do we do about a moderator
December 13, 2012, 10:44:43 PM
This topic has been moved to Moderators' Lounge.
http://betselection.cc/index.php?topic=438.0
It served its purpose. In fact, it was a reckless act of self-disclosure that revealed much about the character of thread-starter, Gizmotron.
For that person I shall remain "clueless" -- that being his/her/its opinion of me, for which I am grateful.
I am grateful because it provided a wonderful opportunity for many members to offer me their support in posts and PMs.
My sincere thanks to you all.
