Depends on whether or not you perceive yourself as your 'brother's keeper'.

Sometimes it's best to let someone learn from their own mistakes (as long as it's not a life-threatening situation they're in)

Like I said -- painful lessons are generally the ones we tend not to forget.

Anyway, I'll leave you to continue to wander through the mulberry bushes if the fruit appeals that much to you.

Views have been civilly expressed and, for me, there the matter ends.

Edit:  The word 'sometimes' has been clearly stated above.  That means it's not an absolute statement.

Enough!

Bayes started this thread in a gentle manner.

It has recently deteriorated considerably.

The time has come for protagonists to agree to disagree and leave it there.

The method is under test in Speramus.

Let's wait'n'see the outcome and hold off on pre-judging meanwhile.

I'm locking the thread for folk to cool down.

Bayes will unlock it if he wishes to.

After all that pontificating about "the bleedin obvious" a little clue was totally missed -- the little devil icon.

The Devil's Advocate is a useful device for drawing people out in discussions.

But as far as Punter A is concerned it works. He's happy. Until the bubble bursts.

Why burst it for him? (Or try to burst it for him?)

People seem to learn best when there's a bit of pain involved.  Those are the lessons they really remember.  >:D

Learning through experience...  Can't beat it.

You can TELL Johnny 'til you're blue in the face not to do something because of the danger/risks involved.

But it's only when he finally cuts his finger, or discovers the water really IS hot , that he understands the message!

"especially given the usual crowd"

We are trying to get away from the "usual crowd"--namely the likes of you!

"i have considered "throwing a good bit of business" on some other projects his way, but it's tough to be able to thusly take the rest of him so-seriously."

So if he'd just come around to your camp, you'd give him all your programming business.  But you won't.  Poor Vic!  The money he's lost!  That's like a spoiled kid saying to another, "Well I was going to give you some ice cream, but I won't now!"

WHY DO WE NEED THIS PERSON ON THIS FORUM?

Mods?  I call for a vote.

Sam

Sam:

I suggest you post your objections in the Moderators' Lounge.

Then we can see more clearly the specific issues you're concerned about, and discuss them privately.

Superman says you're Fender1000 from the old
VLS forum. You had a system called The ZONE
that you made exactly the same claims about
2 years ago and it failed miserably. How is this
new thing any different.

A big assumption there that Superman is correct.

NOBODY knows for sure who's who.

Everyone on a forum (wisely) travels under false colours.

Two central elements in intelligent prediction and response are:

(1) how rapidly we can predict and respond to an event, and

(2) the amount and type of information we need for effective prediction and response.

The conventional wisdom has been that the best results emerge from the reflective analysis of a lot of relevant data.

[SOURCE:  http://brainconnection.positscience.com/content/215_1 ]

Quite so.

In other words, before anyone rushes to snap judgements  and immediately posts this, that or the other won't work:

THEY SHOULD SET UP A TEST AND COMMUNICATE THEIR FINDINGS

OR WAIT FOR OTHER'S TEST RESULTS TO APPEAR

There's been too much negative posting thus far from those who seem to believe "there's my way and the wrong way".

That sort of belief is what underpins most of human conflict -- if you think about it.

Notice of Intent

So why shouldn't Moderators delete purely negative posts about others' ideas and methods, if those negative posts are NOT  backed up by transparent,

verifiable test data?

Gentlemen

We all "know" that the math, science and logic says "PATTERN BREAKER" will not work.  But what if it works anyway?  Wouldn't that make the Fat Lady sing?

Let us not forget Parrondo's Paradox.  That can't possibly work,  Mathematicians  say it does.

Sam

Exactly !!  Well put.

Human engineers with big brains said it was  impossible for bumblebees to fly.

But nobody told the bees that. They actually fly very well, thank you.

Bumblebees with small brains didn't know about their limitations so they continue to fly in blissful ignorance.

So, too, some methods are likely to work even though they are not "supposed" to according to the "experts".

And that's why testing is so important.

Hi Ralph

Is that a dgt file for RX ?

Dave.

Welcome, Dave!!

Mate, no it's not a dgt file.

It's Javascript so it can run in a browser.

If I've got that wrong my apologies, and I'm sure Ralph will correct me!!

There is a bunch of simple systems that i play flat bet and still grind out a profit, however i can not state that they win forever. Everything works within the the frame of win target and stop-loss.
Let me know if you are interested.
Cheers

I'm sure MANY members would be interested!!

Would you be kind enough to post one or two of your favourite ones in this thread?

Can anyone recommend a Flat Betting System that actually works, I don't mind a grinder but it must win more than it loses (obviously)..?

Any thoughts..?

Yes -- my thoughts are that this is a VERY good question. It's one that has gone through my mind more than once.

And it's well worth a HELPFUL, DIRECT ANSWER, instead of oblique references to a solution that you've been offered thus far.

Wait patiently for an answer!

After all, you've only had 3 replies out of the whole roulette community!!

There are still almost 150 members here yet to take the trouble to post a reply.

My opinion -- for what it's worth -- is that a solution:

  • probably lies with inside numbers
  • probably involves The Law Of The Third
  • probably involves "hot" numbers

Combine all three...add a pinch of luck...and maybe you'll have a recipe for success.

There are those that swear by it.

There are those that swear at it!

When dealing with stuff outside of our five senses (which numerology purports to tap into) it's probably best not to rush into judgement.

Settle down, people.

It's just a GAME for goodness' sake.

In the wider scheme of things it is way down the pecking order.

Addressing climate issues and addressing worldwide poverty -- just for starters -- are far more important matters to spend time, money and energy on.

Keep a sense of perspective!!

I'll lock the thread to remove temptation to rabbit on and on...."Much ado about nothing", as the Bard do eloquently put it.

We simply won't stand for that sort of behaviour on THIS forum.

Any more of it and he will thereby help provoke his own exclusion...
