Off-topic / Something to think about
Last post by alrelax - May 13, 2025, 12:29:15 PMWhen you win big for yourself, think! Wins do not come large all the time no matter who you are or how skilled you think you are or might be. Read the following article this morning and had to do a double take on it. Great thinking on Sanders part.
Point being, all in proportion to what you normally do or infrequently accomplish.
NFL rookies often go viral for their first big purchase after getting drafted. Some rookies will buy an expensive car. Other rookies will buy some luxurious jewelry or clothing. Of course, some will choose to spend on family, buying their parents a house or paying off a sibling's college tuition.
Sanders, whose father, Deion Sanders, made tens of millions of dollars in the NFL and is now a multi-millionaire head coach at Colorado, is already pretty well off. However, no one would blame him if he decided to make a big purchase now that he has been drafted.
The fifth round NFL Draft pick is making roughly $4.6 million over the next four years. Sanders has announced what he'll be spending his first NFL paycheck on.

Sanders made an announcement on what he'll be spending his first NFL paycheck on:
Nothing.
That's right, Sanders has announced that instead of spending on a car or a house or jewelry, he's choosing to save his money instead. He'll be investing it, rather than spending it.
"I'm not tryna buy anything," Sanders told reporters. "My signing bonus ain't that high right now."
Sanders made it clear that he has one goal right now: making the roster.
"I'm extremely grateful for the opportunity," Sanders said. "I don't ever focus on the negative or even think about the negative. I've just got to prove and show what I'm capable of. What fuels me is my purpose in life and understanding the route that we're going to have to take. Understanding that I was able to get an opportunity when a lot of people didn't want to give me an opportunity. So that's what I'm truly thankful for."
It's a mature, classy answer from Sanders. And it shows real character that he knows that he has his work cut out for him. While his contract is worth $4 million over four years, there's no guarantee that he'll even make the team.

Last post by ADulay - May 12, 2025, 08:12:53 PMQuoteFor example, with a $50 betting round:
$30 on Banker
$20 on Player
Outcomes:
Banker wins: Profit $30 – 5% commission – $20 = $8.50
Player wins: Profit $20 – $30 = -$10
Tie: Both bets push, no gain or loss
This system produces a small profit more than half the time but still has a negative expectation over time.

Wow.
This is what is passing for valuable system play now?
Why not just wager the $10 net on Bank and take a $9.50 profit on a Bank win?
You lose $10 on the Player win either way, you just "pay" more with their method.
Weird.

Last post by alrelax - May 12, 2025, 01:15:30 PMThere are ways to win and exit confidently with the cash.
Do not go to the 'open cashier' in the main cage area and cash in your chips and immediately walk out to your car and leave.
All casinos as I know it, have a private or VIP cage room or area where others cannot view the transactions. Of course these transactions are usually geared for the larger winners. (Which the people committing crimes against are looking for anyway)
When you cash out your chips, do not go directly to your car. You can go to various other parts of the casino, restaurants, snack bars, hotel lobby, etc., etc., and be sure no one is following you. So then you are putting several buffer zones between yourself and leaving in your car. Continuously look if anyone is following you. Not too hard to discover, especially down a few hallways, etc.
And probably the most important and effective is, when you are confident no one is following you, then exit a non gaming area exit to your vehicle. All casinos have them. So you will also avoid the perpetrators from hanging at the main casino exit looking for you.
Just some tips that will add safety without much work, IMO.

KungFuBac / Insider Secrets: How Professio...
Last post by KungFuBac - May 12, 2025, 04:13:04 AMThe link to the whole article is at the very bottom of this post. Much of the article is mostly "elementary-level" info and suggestions. However, a couple of interesting suggestions on betting systems down about 2/3rds of the article. Though I don't wager in this manner/I'm not an advocate for any type of hedging. I still found it interesting.
Any of u play a similar approach to suggestions in the article?
Any thoughts or comments? Yea or nay??
Thanks in advance,

How to Win at Baccarat: The James Bond Strategy
This fixed betting system, inspired by Ian Fleming's character, involves covering multiple outcomes:
Place 70% of your total bet on the Banker
Place 25% on the Player
Place 5% on the Tie
For example, with a $100 total bet:
$70 on Banker
$25 on Player
$5 on Tie
This approach guarantees a win if Tie hits (typical profit of $35 with 8:1 payout) and a small win if Banker wins (profit of approximately $40 – $25 – $5 = $10). You lose only when Player wins ($70 loss offset by $25 win = $45 net loss).
The system offers frequent small wins but doesn't overcome the house edge in the long run.
__________________________________________________________________________________
Exploring the 3-2 System
This straightforward approach focuses on diversification:
Bet 3 units on the Banker
Bet 2 units on the Player
Skip the Tie bet entirely
For example, with a $50 betting round:
$30 on Banker
$20 on Player
Outcomes:
Banker wins: Profit $30 – 5% commission – $20 = $8.50
Player wins: Profit $20 – $30 = -$10

KungFuBac / Gambling in Style: The World’s...
Last post by KungFuBac - May 12, 2025, 03:57:34 AMThis is an interesting list if one likes the luxury treatment. Link at the bottom.
*Probably the nicest I recall is Bellagio in L.Vegas. I was with a group that included two high rollers and the other four of us in the group were avg. So the casino treated our whole group with extra niceties.
It was a couple levels above my typical room. Though not a penthouse suite or multiple bedrooms suite,..etc.
Another time I was in Tunica and the lady checking me in asked: Would you like an upgrade to a Penthouse luxury suite? Me: Yes that would be OK.
.
I wasn't a high roller and hadn't given them much action that year. However, I thought it was a classy move (& smart business) on her part. It was during the week. I'm sure they had several luxury rms that were going to be empty anyway.

Last post by KungFuBac - May 12, 2025, 03:38:30 AM"...There are enough warnings up in all casinos about 'over' gambling and self banning options, etc...."
I concur. Everytime I enter a casino I typically see a placard or sign near the entrance showing: ("Problem Gambling" call 1800-xxx-xxxx)
I always think about suggesting to the casino: They would get a larger number of callers by offering incentives. For example: The 8th caller wins a $10 Free Bet. Maybe the 15th caller gets an entry into a sweepstakes, $10 Freeplay....etc.
Of course Im being a little facetious.
However, IMO a casino acting like their goal is to help patrons with a gambling problem is similar to:
A) A bar offering patrons a program to quit drinking,
B)A tobacco co. trying to keep youngsters from trying tobacco,
C)A restaurant fat shaming customers and telling them Sir you need to order smaller portions without desserts and no alcohol,...etc.
Cheers,
