Yes there is. But. And a HUGE 'But' indeed, most all people will win a couple/few hands and then their factual based decision-making and wagering turns to egotistic beliefs.

(Egotistical or Fallacy, Past Experiences that were positive or negative, etc., etc.)

Sorry to say and a lot of you don't want to hear it, it is present in most all of us.  You have to look in the mirror and you have to look in from the outside and it's not easy to accept, but we're mostly all guilty of it and you have to kick it.

Because when that happens the Frustration, Chase and Loss, comes around once again.

The mistake made is you see what you desire turning off factual based or biased available opportunities to Hope and Greed, because your mind immediately turns to:

1)  Making previous losses back;

2)  Losing sight of what is possible and focusing on unrealistic win amounts.

It is a vicious and a mean cycle that the majority of players do not understand. Once you understand it, you will add so much of an advantage that your game will change if you are strong enough to play when only within the Bias and resisting play when knowing you are outside of it while you are at the table.

Not an easy protocol to learn and follow, but in all of my years of playing and now my accumulated experience, I believe it is the number one most important and beneficial to the player.

Played well over 36,311 shoes of baccarat since I started playing at B&M USA casinos.

THE PURPOSE OF GAMING IS TO WIN!

"Don't say it's a winning hand until you are getting paid for it".

Played numerous properties in Las Vegas, Reno, Southern California, Atlantic City, Connecticut, South Florida, The South/Southeast as well as most areas of The Midwest.

Baccarat, actually a mixture of Watergate, attacking the Gotti Family and the famous ear biting Tyson fight leading to disqualification and a near riot.  Bac has all that & more.

Hi alrelax

Good thoughts/I agree 100%.

IMO #1 above is the biggest culprit for many players.

re: Bias and the sentence in bold--I concur, although I do see many players actually pick up on A bias. However, its easy for us to fall into the trap of  just continuing to look for the "same exact bias" thereafter in the remainder of the shoe. Im still guilty of that sometimes.
I also think there are (good, better, best) types of bias. This is an area I sometimes look back in hindsight and think "how did I miss that". Typically its because I was focused on the current bias(which was good or better (with blinders on) and miss what was the much larger /more pronounced best bias happening around or within my current bias.

e.g., Last week I was wagering deep/heavy +progression into a (pppp b ppp b pp b p) string and although I was happy to catch 6-7 wins in a row, make > buyin,..etc. What I had failed to see was the actual much larger bias which was that b singles had started prior to the current bias I had spotted. B1 and had actually produced 11 consec B singles where all I would have been required to do was: See a B1 bet a P ,...etc.

I can't agree more on that too!

In some way we win money whenever a kind of bias (whatever intended) is acting along some shoes, not along all shoes and of course this bias could be mild, moderate, strong or very strong.
Or, alas, not happening at all.

Shoes distribution don't give a fk about our strategy, either shoes are biased or not.
And when they are biased, the quality of such bias will be more likely included within the 'mild or moderate' categories.
There's no one sensible reason why after one or a couple (or more) unbiased shoes, next shoes will be more biased than average. That is capable to get a balancement of our previous losses.

Actually the main problem is to manage strong biased shoes coming in a row.
And we know it's more probable such situation arises when cards are badly shuffled.
