should the even chances be treated differently?

  • I often notice that people who play EC whatever the game tend to be more concerned and pay more attention to streaks, timing and others . is it due to the volatility that it can go in any direction at any time?

I also notice that people who play with more numbers than even chances have a confidence because they have the advantage of the probabilities in the next hand. Is this really justified?? should you not be even more cautious and be more attached to tracking the swings of the game because you can lose more too??  maybe the even chances are the right point where people do not need to worry about having more or less chance of winning or losing because it is basically the same. maybe this psychological factor of having equal odds plays a part in the EC players to be more aware because at any moment it changes as motivation to be more alert because that is the nature of all EC bets. what do you think?

  • Yes they should be treated differently. Don't play them. Straight ups is where its at son.

Without a decent bet selection and the proper roulette experience, you don't have success, you have a hobby. There is no "Auto Re-bet" button in the ACTUAL world of roulette. Its B&M or take up stamp collecting. Don't let my honesty offend you. Haters will always hate. The saddest thing in life is wasted talent. • Maybe the attraction of the ECs is that the outcomes are symmetrical, so it's easier to create systems for them. But I agree with Mr J, in my experience it's easier to win when betting straight up on just a few numbers. You have more leeway when things don't go according to plan and aren't forced to use deep progressions when things go wrong as you usually are when betting on many numbers.

100% correct. As I say, betting on a few numbers gives you some wiggle room when a bad streak comes along.

Once again benevolent Ken shares his wisdom graciously, I'd like to add:

Thus don't be the outside(r) looking in(side)...because sometimes you lose and less times you win!
''For after all what is man in nature?
A nothing in relation to infinity, all in relation to nothing, a central point between nothing and all and infinitely far from understanding either.
The ends of things and their beginnings are impregnably concealed from him in an impenetrable secret.
He is equally incapable of seeing the nothingness out of which he was drawn and the infinite in which he is engulfed.'' B.Pascal

    Yes.

Itlr, even a perfect 50/50 non taxable proposition is unbeatable by definition.
Since the EV remains the same no  matter how many numbers we decide to wager, knowing that we always get a limited bankroll as opposed to house's money, we'll better choose to utilize p higher than 50% unless we have reasons to think that few numbers are more likely to occur.
No edge = better opportunities to be ahead having a p>50%.
