Hi everyone,
I know that many of our baccaratlabs members are over here. I just want to let you know that baccarat labs.com is down at the moment. I wiped out some important files while trying to add a new feature to the forum.
I could have reinstalled a back up file, but I decided to take this opportunity to switch away from our current software, to a much better platform.
Baccaratlabs will be back up within the next 24-48 hours and it will be better than ever.
Thanks for the heads-up, indeed many baccarat fellows from here also tune-in over there
Thanks!
We are back up. We lost all information and users, so everyone will have to register again. But it will be worth it!
You can find out what happened here:
http://baccaratlabs.com/index.php?threads/welcome-to-the-new-baccaratlabs.2/
Ouch. Not a good way to start especially you are a new site.
Hopefully people can see pass this and re-register. For me though I am going to hold out until later on to register again.
yep..nothing that I can do about it. It is what it is. Even my back up files somehow got messed up.
But it's for the best. I can really customize this. So it's best that it happened now. i just wish that I had a way to save the information.
One thing that I'm working on -
A personal bankroll system. Each member will get bankroll Dollars or Euros for participation. You get fake virtual money for posting a thread, replying, and so on. You can even give someone money if you like their post. So I could give you $5.00..Each profile will show the total dollar value that you have in your bankroll.
Then we will create a store with prizes. I'll add small prizes here and there and the virtual money can be traded in.
Quote. For me though I am going to hold out until later on to register again
By the way Joey,
I hope that you join again soon. I really enjoyed your posts and participation. (This is orange chip) I always made it a point to read your posts. It was nice to have someone posting who also has played n AC and some of the PA casinos. I honestly don't care if we have 10 members or 1000 members..I'm interested in quality members and that's what you were. I'm not really in this to get rich off of a website..I have another site that I'm currently trying to get rich off of.
I apologize again that we lost all of your postings. This won't happen again.
Hope to see you soon!
Yep, i noticed it.
Hope you will be back asap to normal situation.

In BaccaratLab's defense, keeping working copies of everything can be a hassle; remember when even the VIP lounge forum died there was no good backup to recover the community from (and that was quite a loss: 15,000+ members and many great topics wiped :'( ). RouletteForum.net also got wiped back in the day leaving Steve baffled, and had to rebuild.
As for us, I recall we've only once lost a few topics to an out-of-sync backup, and it was years ago, due to a silly error of not locking the forum prior to backing it up, so there were some minutes in between full backup and new install. Member RJeaton wondered what happened to his post. Lesson learned. We are currently paying a small secondary server just for the daily backups. They are wiped weekly but they are there should we need them.
On this main server, we have high-availability hired + daily backup with 3-hour snapshots in case of hardware failure. But that's because at this point I'm paranoid and have already had my share of lessons with -gladly- other projects.
So I can attest in the years of managing websites, these sort of things can and do happen, nobody's born learned but we learn by means of these events. For sure.
Cheers!
I hope members do register again, it takes only a few minutes to do so.
BaccaratLabs, in short time, has become in my eyes one of the very few real serious and good Baccarat forums on the Net.
At least some people who want to share

Oh I will be back. Just that it is winter season and it is a nice down/quiet time in Vegas so I will be making many trips out there until Spring.
Until then.....
I notice that baccaratlabs.com is down again. This time it says Account Suspended. What's the story?
Forum owner updating now...very soon will be run

I guess that we were all suspended? Or, maybe the casinos bought it out to shut it down because it came too close to the "grail"? (Like BF's? Though I don't know what they'd want with Steve's board.)
But remember, "Adulay in particular is a very experienced and successful baccarat player, who can detect BS at 1000 paces whichever way the wind is blowing." Thank goodness that they can't silence him! http://betselection.cc/baccarat-forum/a-warning-to-baccarat-players/ (http://betselection.cc/baccarat-forum/a-warning-to-baccarat-players/)
Hi Baccarat Labs is down because of a server upgrade, orangechip is trying his best to do the upgraded around his work commitments.
Thanks
malcop
Thank you Malcop for information!
Greetings.
Glad that BL is back and stable. Had me worried there at the beginning.
Archie/Garn,
As long you are still around!
QuoteNo big deal, the guy ran from his own challenge.
What are you talking about? Once a scammer? Who is scamming who? You're not making any sense......
This internet riff raff is good training ground. If you can handle and deal with unpredictable nonsense here or any other board, dealing with the stuff you see at the tables is water under the bridge. Unless it is intentional second hand smoke.
Gone. Registration expired with GoDaddy on the 4th.
Guess Malcorp didn't want to stump up for it's continuation, further GR8 posts gone down the gurgler, what can we do now to win? At least Joey Knish aka DMSCR managed to steal my avatar before it vanished, shame all those pictures I posted have now gone [smiley]blacy/blacy-secret_smile.png[/smiley]
So, this where all the shrewd cats are congregatin' at these days. And even the garnabby is makin the scene, just like old times. Good thing I stocked up on Guinness and cashew, hey hey!
Site may revive, if admins wish. Wasn't a bad place for baccarat discussion.

Yeah right, 240+ members and less than 10 posted. It started well then the "please share newbie brigade" took over, then it was discovered by Joey Knish (DMCSR / Rinzler) then fell apart. Even the Garn got in the act
very early trying to assume the identity of
Égalité by plagiarising posts from elsewhere, maybe he was missing a his kidney beans and thought doing so might make a change from the incomprehensible posts he usually pollutes forums with.
Buddy Rolex-watch,
Why do we get so much personal about forum debates? f I don't like someone's writing, I don't read that, simple. Forums are usually stuffed with daydreamers and frustrated players who can not contribute positive debates but a few are good too. That's why we are here. You have got all liberties to write or not, to assert or negate. Why bother?
If I see 100 topics written, only 2 of them are worth serious thought. So what? We are a part of it. If you know better than all, let all see your intelligence and evaluate that.

Seeing things. Guess who's the master.
Could be the morphine you take for your bad neck, and the migraines.
I was really hoping that a member would be getting waited on at Camp Delta, suppose it was too much to ask, next best option his Ebola joke to back-fire, while pressing the buttons on some ATM machine [smiley]blacy/blacy-exciting.png[/smiley]

An ATM near you.
The casino chips would work better, though you never leave with any.

Wasn't it you complaining about huffing and puffing your way to an ATM in Vegas then being stung with a $35 withdrawal charge. "Why have use ATM" dmscr? Oh never mind, we can all guess. There is the general section at GG were members can see images of you in action in LV.
