Title: In California you can also get a license to Bank the games
Post by: alrelax on January 03, 2017, 03:42:22 PM
Card rooms, which out number the casino and Indian reservations by far in California, cannot be their own Banker at baccarat.  There are licensed Bankers by the state gaming authority for individuals to come into the card room (casino) deposit their money and be the Banker at each baccarat table.

In short, a player that is not a licensed Banker can also Bank the table.  Last time I was there, it was a max of 2 hands convectively and then you pass the puck to anyone else that desires it.  Then you can get it back if no other player desires to 'bank'.  In the absence of players banking, a licensed 'banker' will always be on the premises to bank the game in one way or another.

There has been resistance to EZ Bac acceptance at the card rooms.

This next one is a little more detailed and gets into the 'player-banked' aspect of it what I was referring to:

Here is an example of the State gaming filing for a typical EX Baccarat game at a California card room and 'player-bankers', etc.:

Some of the card rooms are up to $30,000.00 a hand.  My buddy is a state licensed gaming banker, he works under contract with numerous card rooms around the San Francisco area and east into the attached valleys.  Mostly Asians around there anyways.  That is why he banks there.
