Title: Why are you losing at Baccarat?
Post by: Patience777 on May 17, 2017, 12:54:49 AM
Because you are most of the time playing from behind.
When you play from behind you get stressed out.
When you get stressed out you make bad decisions.
Do you ever notice how much better hockey teams play when they are ahead of their opponents?
AW- HAH  Now you know my secret!

I have a negative progression martingale betting system that I use that involves identifying trends.
So I'm always ahead of the casino within the first few bets  that I make.
I hit and run with small wins and I don't get greedy.

Its not how much you win but rather did you win or lose?
Every time you lose it destroys your confidence. (a little more)
Every time you win it increases your confidence. (a little more)
As your confidence increases you make better decisions.

39 straight trips to the casino now I have booked consecutive small wins.

I don't use positive progressions either because I don't want to play from behind.
Besides a 1-3-2-6 positive progression is a 16 to 1 shot against you!
Don't worry about how much you are going to win.
Just Win!

When Player is absolutely Kicking Butt on Banker here is the 5 step marty I like to use...

$40 - $80 - $160 - $300 - $460

1st step wins $40
2nd step wins $40
3rd step wins $40
4th step wins $20
5th step is a recoup and after winning you are down $120 then go back to step 3 and bet $160 for a possible $40 win.
If you lose at step 3 then go to step 4 and bet $300 for a possible $20 win.

This Martingale to be used for even money bets only like Player in Baccarat or the Don't Pass Line in Craps.

well said, but the small wins combined outweighs the expenses of getting over to the casino and the money spent buying food or drinks?

I don't buy food and drinks at the casino.
A round trip to the casino is about $6 in gas for me.

39 consecutive winning trips to the casino avg. $85 win per trip. (BR of $1500)
My old record use to be 37.

Look... I already gave you guys my Choppy Table "Holy Grail"
Use it and win some money my friends!

Why do cats lose at the baccarats? No balls> No bankroll? No discipline?

patience, you must either have a nice size bankroll or you have low monthly expenses. either way, you're in a lucky position. i only have a so so bankroll but my monthly expenses are close to 3k a month. so i need to win much more than $85/day. i only have about 20 days out of the month to go to the casino and my drive to the closest one is about 1 hour 35 min(no traffic). so ill try to hit it about 3 or 4 times every 2 weeks. my goal is to win at least $500-800 each time. i haven't lost since the middle of april so im on a good roll. trying to pay my bills and build my bankroll there i can win 500-800 in half the amount spent at the casino. my goal eventually is to win about 1k/day. this way i only need to go twice every 2 weeks to pay my bills and be able to put away some money.

I can't see relying on gambling to make the basics.  So stressful.  I can see supplementing and 'found money' from gambling for the average people.  The work force with dedication will net a full time employee, above the rank of fast food counter or some other min wager job--around $750 to $1,500.00 a week, but the health care and other benefits are on top of that as well.  I am missing something.

I don't know if it would give you any advantage but if you want ideas, try looking at older posts.  It may help you conjure up something.  You may find some silly ideas may not be so silly after all if you use it in a slightly different way.   I managed to get a few good ideas from this forum and others as well.  Most of the recent posts are just garbage.

Forget about the golden eggs, it's all about the nest holding the egg.

Can we change the question from why are you losing to why are you winning at Baccarat? Losing is inevitable when we play baccarat. Just how much are you willing to lose.  A fellow baccarat player once said to me, " Barron, you can't soak your hand when the water is boiling because it will burn your hand." I remembered when I lost a few hands, I went crazy trying to chase my losses. I wanted to make sure that I got my losses back like yesterday. Oh boy- lessons learned, the hard way.

I have learned that Martingale progression costed me like a boiling water burning my hand. I saw Patience777 spelling out his Marti's progressions, and I think his is doable. The only problem is what if the choppy shoe turned streaky and it goes to 7th, 8th and so forth at the time we are applying the Marti's? If we figure out the "what if" and then we are going to smile every day when we leave the casino. No strategy is bad. Thank you Patience for sharing.

I have been playing baccarat for over 16 years. I have seen a lot at the table. I mean a lot of actions. My humble suggestion to the newbie here is, learn from your mistakes. Create your own style of playing strategies and stick to your plan. As one quote from Benjamin Franklin: "If you fail to plan, you are planning to fail!""

This forum has offered a lot of strategies how to win consistently. If you are serious about the game, I would create my own strategies and  system using the available information offered by our fellow members here on this forum. There are quite a few of good ones and it is up to you to create it to match your style and hopefully to consistently win the game. I don't talk about beat the game, I just talk about winning it consistently.

Lastly you have to have hands on experience at the table in order to feel the pain, the joy and the smile. I believe without mistakes and the pain, there is no lessons learned.

Good luck to you all. Let's make war with the casino. They are never our friends anyway.

Cheers!!!

From Barron518:

Spot-on, perfectly correct.
