Mr J

I had an odd conversation tonight with three other people while playing roulette. I already know the answer but I'll swing this past ya'll. I'll give two options >>
On the 00 wheel, the worst bet is the 0, 00, 1, 2, 3, we all know this. Lets say we have 5 $1 chips.

A) If we wager $5 on the above as ONE bet and hit, we get $30 net plus
our $5 = $35 TOTAL.

B) If we bet $1 on each of the five numbers and we get a hit........ we get $31 net ($1 more) plus our $1 = $32 TOTAL.

So with "B", we net more (by $1) but with "A", we'll end up with a total of $35.

So which is better and WHY or are they both the same?

Ken
Without a decent bet selection and the proper roulette experience, you don't have success, you have a hobby. There is no "Auto Re-bet" button in the ACTUAL world of roulette. Its B&M or take up stamp collecting. Don't let my honesty offend you. Haters will always hate. The saddest thing in life is wasted talent. ((If you're not already a genius, don't bother with roulette. The world needs plenty of ditch diggers))

A. Start...100 u br...after the win...130u
B. Start...100 u br...after the win....131u

A. Is a sucker bet.....7.9% HE.

A.should be 135u after the win...if they wernt sharks.

Hi Mr J,

Your calculations are wrong.

When you bet 5 numbers as a group you spend 5$ and you end up with 7 * 5$ units = 35$  Profit = 30$

When you bet 5 numbers individually, you spend 5$ and you end up with 36 * 1$ units = 36$ Profit=31$

So it is better to bet them individually.
The only reason to bet the numbers as a group is when you want to keep your bets low, because on can use the minimum bet for five numbers, which otherwise would need 5X minimum bet.

@Kav >> (lol) I know, I wanted to drag this out for a couple days but too late. THAT was the logic from the guys sitting with me at the table.

ken....seeing as i got  it right....I get to ask a question.

American Wheel....I read that E/C is HE 2.7% if you find a table with En prison or Surrender

Is that offer common in US casinos?

That must be worth looking for.

Mr J

00 wheel......every bet is 5.26% except the 0 00 1 2 3 (7.89%).

Here in my crappy city, no single zero wheels and I think (not real sure) not every 0 wheel OFFERS  En prison or Surrender. I'm not real sure if that's an automatic offer/rule or if its up to the casino????

I'd like to know.

Considering that you have directed your question  at Ken I would like to answer you.

The  only jurisdiction  at which the la partage rule at the 0/00 table is in effect is in Atlantic City`s { New Jersey) 11 casinos being guaranteed by the NJ Casino control commission.

By the same token NO  en -prison rule  or la partage  applies  at this jurisdiction to the single 0 roulette wheel  if available at any of those  casinos .

The other major NE USA casinos do not offer this feature. Neither off shore, the ATLANTIS  on Paradise Island Bahamas .Ditto for Nevada  casinos in Las Vegas and Laughlin.

Thanks ND/Ken

I like to understand the game at all levels.

Knowledge is king

Mr J

I learned something new. I did not even think it was offered anywhere on a 00 wheel, interesting.

(remember, UK is 1/3 the size of Texas......we have no concept of distances[smiley]aes/erm.png[/smiley])

Mr J

For a couple years now, I've been thinking about moving to Reno. (no more winters and more than one casino etc.)

Plenty to do there but in a smaller package. that's more my style.

Yes Turner I agree so much choice in the UK.  You don't have to travel too far if you want to find a land based Casino.
