Is there anyone among us who do it better than average people? Well skilled, well informed and well experienced.

This is an interesting topic because you can genuinely have an edge on your competitors depending on the skill and experience you have.

I know several people from the Betfair forum who are 'experts' in their chosen field.

The thing is however they are not just betting before the match/event.

They 'trade' throughout the match. This offers them a lot more scope because they can keep evaluating the situation.

It's a little bit like 'situational play' in roulette. Someone might decide to go to the casino and bet on number 5 all day long. However we all know it's possible that number 5 may not appear for hundreds of spins. The situational player might see number 8 getting hot and decide to switch over.

So you can see that a trader needs to put in the hours because he is constantly monitoring whatever event he is involved in. I believe this is the best way to go with sports betting.

Sometimes it is the people who no one imagines anything of who do the things that no one can imagine.

I know one person who is an expert in sports betting and does it professionally and daily. He has been a member in all Victor's forums including this: Tomla01

Al

Could you clarify the thread's question?

I'm asking because it can mean any of several different things to different readers.

Thanks.

Esoito,
I am looking for members having skill, experience or expertise in sports betting. One can provide daily tips on what to bet upon. I know at least Tomla does it very well. There must be other guys of that level too who can assist us picking best bets. One can even enrich our knowledge by giving inputs from sports betting forums.

I tried some sportbetting . Betting only one game (all low odds,20+ games). Lost almost all games. But I think the odds are manipulated. Better to bet AGAINST the lowest odds, against common sense. I will try that next time. I will bet against the odds. On all games. (only single 1 game/bet,20+ games) Always betting on the highest odds gives more profit also.

I'm not sure it would work. Atleast I lost when betting according to the odds, so why should the opposite not work?

One thing you need to remember when sports betting is that unlike other types of gambling (such as roulette), the outcome is not random.  That is where you can find your advantage.

And there are a few good sports "experts" among the crowds, but I will see if they come forward themselves (not sure some of them are even on this site yet).

Yeah. He is giving nice "picks". I believe there are many others having good knowledge of picks.

I started for fun about two weeks ago playing only total odds max of no more then 3.0

Usualy 2-3 picks taken on internet from some experience "connosieurs" of sports betting. Nice that we have one here also.

I took bonus, just today wagered it, and all in all I am now at 3x my starting bankroll.

I don't win every time I bet of course, but MM handles the difference. It hasnt been actualy challenged with 1/5 of max strength..

Nice fun and one can earn like this I am sure.

Best

Common sense has become so rare it should be classified as a superpower.

Betvoager has a betting exchange, (There may be others as well) offer your  own odds and balance it, so you never lose. The charge some commission from the winner.
If you  deposit 1000 Euro, you can offer game for 10000 Euro, probably due to they want safe theire share.

Setting odds on all outcomes, and if all are taken, you can not lose.

I have to agree favorits are very often at unfair odds, the bookmaker knows the punters will play it. They win most of the time, but betting second and third, gives better result at the end.  Then it depends on how much valid information you can gather.

Excatly that. It isn't enough just to play any opposite bet thinking you will do better, becasue you loose many time on lower odds. It is gamblers fallacy. I have spoken with one professional sport betting player who plays this on betfair and without any doubt digging and searching some informations is DUE to be successful in the long run.

You must search and find reason why bookies maybe overestimated such bet.

Sports betting can be tricky at some point. What I would suggest is to self study, then learn from mistakes and experience.
