Back in the day people would abuse dublinbet for their low-wagering-requirement bonuses.

There were even guides passed in the underground (skype, msn) about them.

If I recall right, they were about coordinating efforts betting opposites on several accounts to maximize chances of at least one clearing the bonuses while minimizing real-money losses. I was contacted about them but never really liked exploiting the good fellows at dublin. They put a good operation and don't deserve the treatment. Perhaps william hill...  :-X

I wonder what happened to those bonus abusers? Perhaps they just morphed to affiliate exploiters...  who knows?

Where there's a will, there's a way. Where there's a crack there's a cork   Im' certain there's people out there making this "cashback extra cushion" work for them.

Straight-up / Manual Wheel Pocket Count
February 23, 2013, 10:38:50 PM
You can use this printable card to count pockets manually.

No movable parts. Just a flat image.

Usage is very simple. Just subtract the lowest from the highest number using the inner rows.

See examples below.

Dozen/Column / Edgardo's translation
February 22, 2013, 02:30:20 PM
Suppose we play the 1st and 2nd dozen dozen. These are the balls that come out (spins):

1) 16 1
2) 24 1
3) 0 -2
4) 0 -2
5) 30 -2
6) 35 -2
7) 24 1

"I chose wrong, it seems ... two zeros just  spun... hahaha)", the next time I like to make like system sellers who exemplify with actuals  right for the system to work perfectly.

We start recovery with a positive, according to the balls played and Ecart.

Next bet (NB) = 1.5 (spins played - spins lost)

NB = 1.5 (7-4) = 1.5 * 3 = 4.5 we round it to 5. This is our next bet

8)  16 5

NB = 1.5 (8-4) = 1.5 * 4 = 6 This is our next bet

9) 30 -12

NB = 1.5 (9-5) = 1.5 * 4 = 6 This is our next bet

10) 12 6

NB = 1.5 (10 - 5) = 1.5 * 5 = 7.5 -> 8

11) 34 -16

NB = 1.5 (11 - 6) = 1.5 * 5 = 7.5 -> 8

12) 9 8

NB = 1.5 (12 - 5) = 1.5 * 7 = 10.5 -> 11

13) 9 11

We gain  9 chips with 6 wins and 7 losses.

Kind regards, Edgardo.

General Discussion / Self-moderation dialogues
February 22, 2013, 07:32:20 AM
First, allow me to express self-moderation is a fascinating model to me. This has nothing to do with the quality of moderation here; yet towards my views a self-regulated community goes a long way.
In my book the most successful community is the one which can moderate itself.

If a lot of people flag a post it's likely because it is worthy of flagging.

We're already heading towards a distributed moderation model by lending posters control over their threads. Yet I do believe there are still several features worth implementing:

- The ability for a user to restrict who can post on his topics. A member-maintained exclusion list.

- The ability for a member to not only remove offending posts from his topics, but also to issue a warn to the offender.

Another curious feature I want to code is the "Martingale self-muting". Allow me to explain.

Members would help maintain a list of bad words. From the classic 4-letter words towards every bad-meaning euphemism which comes into view.

The forum software would keep an increasing count risen with each inappropriate posting attempt. When a post containing a bad word is submitted, the forum software automatically mutes the user, doubling the number of days on each hit:

1 day, 2 days, 4 days, 8 days...

Those who insist in using crude language keep muting themselves for longer and longer periods on each try.

The offending post itself doesn't even see the light and the member's muting is directly due to himself because of his own actions.

The beauty is the fact members who do not recur to bad language aren't affected at all, they can enjoy in full; yet the potty-mouths exclude themselves from the discussion, increasing their exclusion time on each attempt as per their choice, with immediate automated enforcing.

The goal of the model is to make our place heavenly for those posters who want to elaborate at length, care to keep a respectful language and are good in general; while at the same time giving hell to those who want to turn the forum into a boiler... with minimal manpower required

As per Sam's request the program is on the free section.

This's been quite an effort since it's been only coded at nights. I still have Visual Basic code snippets which I must adapt to C# to add to this; just haven't done enough in "Zombie mode", yet each day from now up to March 1st an addition is gong to be made to this

I can only offer my sincere apologies to Sam, as well as big thank you in the name of the community for giving the program to a general audience.

Street / Street Distance Match
February 16, 2013, 10:24:58 PM
Street-wheel matching.

http://betselection.cc/meta-selection/street-wheel/

[attachimg=1]

For ease of counting, you only consider the shortest distance between last two spins.

Clockwise is signaled with a + sign.

Counter-clockwise is signaled with a - sign.

You always add newest distance on top.

Your considered cycle / spin window is at most 12 distances annotated.

You have two bets based on this.

It's OK for the ideas exposed here not to be tested; it's all about letting creativity flow like a river flowing into the sea, without bounds. Right as they come.

Participation on the threads should be limited to encouraging comments and additions/tweaks on the idea. Since this is a tiny space for unabridged expression, if you see something you don't like, just let it pass.

I have to give 2 news, one good and one bad
Let's start with the bad: There is no system that always win
On with the good: Despite this you can win at roulette.

There are no foolproof systems, ie earning 100% of the times they are executed, many systems exist which earn more TIMES than they lose.

Why then do people lose?
Recall that there are no foolproof systems.

System players lose for 2 reasons:
A) They lose for using plain bad systems, losing "systematically" because they are based on false premises which violate all "business logic". It is easy to detect a bad system, just see if the behavior proposed by the system corresponds to what would an entrepreneur do. Example: no good businessman would buy an item that did not sell, and certainly never would he buy more quantity the less the item is being sold. Now watch systems out there, and then tell me. What is a growing progression but an investment on what is not selling? It is true that we have to have a degree of perseverance, but not so disproportionate to keep buying more black balloons, those that no one asks us about.

We can not base all our business success plans in the hopes tomorrow an epidemic of taste on black balloons will unleash, more so when other stable businesses succeed selling balloons of other colors.

B) They lose for when they possess relatively good systems, they do not have the endurance to use them consistently, or patience and tranquility through adverse times, which there inevitably will be.

Theory of Manrique's Relativity of systems

The theory is: the same actions lead to different results when the circumstances are different.

And at roulette everything is always different, no two sessions are the same.

Therefore the bonanza of a system depends on the sample being tested but can not be conclusive about future behavior being identical.

Since there is no system that wins 100% of the time it is practiced, we find that to be a winner, we must win by balances. WHEN and HOW these balances are produced is no more and no less what makes lose the system player.

For systems that lose, it's pretty easy to see: for it is impossible they always win, and at times they lose ergo we can never know how and when they lose (if we could know then it could help us avoid losses which would be infallible).

How can we win?

Through impeccable conduct, professionalism and mastery of a SET of techniques, tactics and strategies, better yet grounded in solid theoretical foundations.

We must use the systems just as the best way or perhaps the least bad way of trying to exploit the dynamics of balance and imbalance in the game, and we will not only study the dynamics for the numbers coming out but for the results they produce.

We must try to limit the dispersion in a small segment, which in turn limits our results, and then we use events to multiply these segments which are the most confined we can, by having a large number of micro-banks to reach valuable percentages in the balances, as in Guerrilla Warfare, attack as often as we can and as our attacks are positive it will increase our overall strength, but at the slightest misstep, we shy away at all costs leaving quickly risking the less from the advantage that we have.
#235

While the search is oriented toward a "system" people will remain a Perfect Loser.

Does this mean that the systems are useless? No, but they are only part of what it takes to win.
Like the anatomy to a doctor, you need to know one or more systems, like a doctor needs to know a lot of anatomy to practice successfully. A professional will need to master more than systems to win.

What separates the professionals from the great professionals, is not so much the domain of knowledge, but the approach to implement such knowledge.

Do not give me a system, give me a concept. Always said my great teacher (Nono Santelli)

General Discussion / Regarding Forum Re-install
February 11, 2013, 03:03:17 PM
Hello dear fellows  :rose:

Just wanted to comment about the currently scheduled forum re-install's process.

As the forum's admin it's my duty to devote the hours, yet I'm currently doing what could be considered the equivalent to manual labor in the IT world with my current contract.

[attach=1]

In short: I get home beaten and don't want to touch a computer anymore for the day  ...But still...I'll make an effort to keep us on schedule, doing the re-install within the week as announced since we need it to move the community forward

Work will be done at random intervals, which means it's going to be SLOW and the whole process will span through several days. So we'll have a short-handed place for a while. Some features WILL be missing in the base install until brought back; yet on the brighter side the fresh set of sources eliminates current software cruft and opens the door to new features. i.e.  enhanced tags support (disc, matrix, chart, felt, session, etc.), a custom subscription system to welcome and reward coders who join us to serve the community, new smiley browser, as well as other extra goodies [attachimg=2].

The forum re-install gets started anytime now. If you see the site unavailable, please retry later. Some efforts from yours truly plus some downtime coping from you guys will get us through the week; for us to have a lovely, enhanced place for the year 2013

Cheers!

General Discussion / User Warning System enabled
February 05, 2013, 11:54:08 PM
Our forum now implements an user warning system.

It's point-based.

The warning range is 0-100%

10-30% = Result: User will be added to moderator watch list.

35-55% = Result: All user's posts will be moderated.

60 - 100% = Result: User will not be able to post. (user is Muted)

Warned user gets 10% decremented per day after receiving the warn. This means the warning level slowly fades out of the account, gradually.

All moderators can issue warns right now.

The discussion is open regarding the possibility for any regular user to be able to issue warns (i.e. max. 10 points) in order to bring people to mods attention; as well as -in case there is public outrage- for the community to mute an offending user on their own.

Feel free to post your views on this.

Regards.

You let the first 37 spins pass without betting.

From now on, you use a ROLLING WINDOW comprised by the last 37 spins.

This means on each new spin incoming number is added and number in the 38th position (38 spins back) is discarded. You always consider the latest 37 spins only.

Your bet is comprised by every unhit NEIGHBOR number in the spin window.

This is a Wheel-based bet, hence you need to use wheel layout.

This is a sensitive topic I wanted to write -at least a little- about.

Lifetime is limited. We can only ever get to make a finite number of things during our time on Earth. It is important for a person to follow his/her vocation and do his/her best to earn a living with something fulfilling.

These days in our internet age there are ways for people to actually make a living in forms which weren't possible only a handful of years ago. if you have a vocation for it, then go ahead!

If you believe you can do great to the world, then by all means transform your life to do it. Now more than ever your work can reach the whole globe.

The selection is fair simple: Use Decision Before Last (DBL) till 2 separate series of 2 appear, then simply bet for the “clump” or “cluster” of series of two to continue.

As in DBL, the concentration of hits on both the Zig-Zags (as in RBRBRB) and the Long series (  RRRRRR or BBBBB…) is enjoyed.

The 2 has a double special meaning here. 2 series of 2 = trigger to bet for the clump of these series.

RRBB = Trigger.

BBRR = Trigger.

In essence, after 2 series of two you will be betting for RRBBRRBBRRBB…. (The larger the clump of these series the better).

Well, that’s essentially it.

Also, bear in mind when you are betting for the clump after RRBB or BBRR (2 series of 2) and it becomes a series of 3 you return to what DBL says and bet for the continuation as usual.

Enjoy this one. If you consider trying it, you can study it along with Cheating D'Alembert.

Money Management / Cheating D'Alembert
January 27, 2013, 08:18:40 PM
Rules:

-      On a lose we only move the unit up by +1 unit at a time, as in the standard D'alembert..
-      We always reset to base unit when we tie or reach a new bankroll high.
-      On a win, we can lower MORE than -1 unit at a time using the following criterion:

We compare both, the amount if we take -1 from the last winning bet (as in the standard D'alembert) and the amount of units we are below from the bankroll.

Example:

We start with 200 units.
We place 1 unit and lose.

We have this:
-      D'alembert says: 1 + 1 = 2 as next bet.
-      We are -1 unit below: 1 as next bet.

We chose 1 as our next bet since it is the lower.

-------

Another example:

We were up at 230.
We are currently at 220.

In our stream of bets at this given sample time we are placing 4 units.
We lose -4 and are now at 216.

-      D'alembert says: 4 + 1 = 5 as next bet.
-      We do the math (High bankroll – Current): 230 – 216 = 14 units as next bet.

We always pick the lower, so in this case we pick what D'alembert says: 5 units as next bet.

-------

The third possible example is: at times it will be the same value on both, the D'almbert and the loss units. No brainer. Just use that value.

I.e: You start with 200.
Place 1 unit. Loss.
199
You determine 1 unit as next bet and lose.
198
Now D'alembert is 1+1 = 2 as next bet AND you are -2 units below = 2 as next bet.

Same amount, you use it.

===============

Of course, as with everything, you need to back up winners somewhat consistently for this to make a profit. But by the +1 rising only I like this one. Better than the cancellations or martingales which rise quite a lot more.

Straightforward application:

+1 Max Zone:
When a zone of 3 of higher is realized, you bet for any zone which will make a HIGHER zone.

i.e. you always take notice of the largest realized zone, and bet on anything which

- a Zone of 3 is current maximum, you bet any number which can make a Zone of 4 or above.
- a Zone of 4 is current maximum, you bet any number which can make a Zone of 5 or above.
- a Zone of 5 is current maximum, you bet any number which can make a Zone of 6 or above.
...and so on.

Point being to bet on the continuation of the maximums in zone length.

+1 Max. Repeat:

- When a repeat of 3 is current maximum, you bet on any repeater which could make 4.
- When a repeat of 4 is current maximum, you bet on any repeater which could make 5.
- When a repeat of 5 is current maximum, you bet on any repeater which could make 6.
...and so on.

Point being to bet on the continuation of maximum in highest repeater hit.

Gambling Philosophy / Tips for the Lady
January 14, 2013, 02:25:18 PM
- Remember while there are common traits in what everybody experiences, gambling is still a personal experience (i.e. subject A may go his whole life without seeing a series of 10 reds, while player B can get it when in his fist betting session at the casino).

- Do not pursue a professional gambling career, at most think about it as a possible way to bring some extra-income; never something to rely on for your livelyhood.

- Again, remember there are common traits in what everybody experiences , this is what you should attempt to expoit! I recall me seeing the same patters in a roulette wheel in Venezuela and Lionel (Lanky) seeing them the same in a roulette in Australia. It just can't be any other way. These traits or constants are called "PRINCIPLES", which are applicable to the game wherever you are, whoever you are.

- Face the game in SEPARATE GAMING UNITS, namely: the cycle.

- For straight-up numbers the cycle is no longer than 37 spins. You can exit earlier than 37 spins, but it should be an ironclad rule for you to stay at most 37 spins with any given cycle.

- Your main exit point for the cycle is when you are "up", even if +1 unit up, you should cut current cycle  there and start a new one or go home. This is VITAL. Cutting while you are up is what makes a difference in between a cumulative profit at the end of the month and a broken wallet.

- On a losing cycle you must cut your game, not a single extra spin, nor a single further bet. There is no spin #38 in serious cycle play.

- You don't need to lose it all when in the casino. Coming home with half a bakroll is better than coming home with no bankroll.

- You must always apply the principle of "MAXIMUM DRAWDOWN". You must exit when your next bet makes you go lower than what you brought for a session bankroll. Example of a Max. drawdown scenario: you come to the table with 100 chips/units, are up +45 and have a total of 145 chips now and your maximum drawdown at this point is 145 - 100 = 45 locked chips/units. When working the averages this mandatory principle makes a big difference -HUGE in fact! As opposed to the gambler whose stop-loss is leaving up to the last unit/chip to the casino.

- When you lose a session, "let it be". Do not rush to the cashier to get more money in game. Casino opens tomorrow too and you can have a fresh start.

- Play online if possible. The advantages of playing at a reputable online casino from the comfort of your home outweigh the advantages of playing in a land-based casino. You don't need to carry money on you or take risks at the street. On a winning session you can take a break of a long or as little as you wish. You can switch casinos (and roulette wheels!) with a few clicks. On a losing session, you spare the losing walk home, you are already home. And most importantly, you can KEEP TRACK of the cycle without having to use pen and paper (via software) and you can thwart the human-error factor!

- In my option, a very conscious way to play is "CONTINUATION", i.e. Whatever your trigger is, you first see it in front of you (realized in your tracking sheet/program), and THEN bet for it to continue showing. It is better to stay away from sleeping events, especially when a progression is involved. Roulette is a game without theoretical limits, if you aim for repetition of what's being realized you may have a better change of catching that streak which can get you up or recover from a temporary deficit. Practical example: say you are chasing the event number showing 3 times, then you wait for a number to show 3 times and THEN hunt for other numbers to follow suit.

- Bet EVENTS based on SOLID PRINCIPLES. A solid principle is that which is universal to the game and is backed by statistics. A solid principle is that which happens at almost every cycle. Some Examples: repeats, neighbors... those are events which are proven to appear.

- Triggers are triggers only, use them to form your STRATEGY. Your strategy can be tracking plenty of triggers in order to only attack them on their most likely frequency of appearance, sustaining the bets if they are showing better than they are expected to (i.e. hot).

- For land-based casino, you WILL need to practice a lot before you can master disc-based play by manual tracking. My advice is to practice for plenty of sessions and get used to "seeing" the events. You will need to memorize the wheel at first so you can almost automatically locate last spun number and correlate it with others as quick as possible in between spins.

- Remember: The roulette wheel is a "closed universe". The wheel/disc is like a mini-universe where there is something going on always. If it isn't landing in one half, it's landing on the other. Don't discard in disc-based play you might find the consistency you need to work your events for the cycle. Study the "final picture" for a lot of 37-spin cycles, as well as how they form. Learn to spot formations and clumpings. Chances are there'll be loaded areas, you can focus in them as they develop.

- It is a good idea to have an array of disc-based events. You can look for them to realize within the cycle and hunt them for CONTINUATION. Cut the cycle when up (even +1) on a win. In the event of a loss, cut your cycle using MAXIMUM DRAW-DOWN methodology, always respecting the cycle's length. Work with the averages. Compound your wins in between winning sessions to rise your base unit. REGRESS to the very minimal unit value after a losing session, to lower the impact of concatenated losing sessions. Treat each cycle like a mini-universe, as the "GAMING UNIT" they are. Do not chase losses. Bet with a foundation of solid principles and trust your averages.

- Treat the game with respect because it is a business and an ongoing war, where no human errors can take place. Don't deviate from the session's bankroll. Be a robot at the table and detach emotionally from the game when in play.

- You are only concerned with "how much in" and "how much out" for your accounting book.

- "Bore yourself" by the natural fluctuating in your session, be indifferent when temporarily getting in the minus (knowing you played your maximum draw-down right), and have fun when leaving on a win, rushing away from the table and enjoying it with your family.

Victor

Gambling Philosophy / Play to win OR break even
January 14, 2013, 02:12:11 PM
It is my observation anyone can handle winning times perfectly. You just sit, lay your bets and collect. Very easy!

The interesting part and what can make a big difference in your monthly balance is how to handle the hard times.

It has happened to me that after being up "half-way", at times even almost reaching my win target, then a drop comes up.

I like to apply the 10:1 reset point rule which helps in avoiding getting stuck fighting for minimal units, since it lowers the highest balance target according to the draw-down.

I also like to have a "Max. spins to achieve" rule per system.

After the previously-determined amount of spins to achieve is played, then the game changes:

- If on the plus (even +1 unit), then game ends on the spot.

- If on the negative, then the game turns into: PLAY TO BREAK EVEN.

When on this mode, the only goal is not to lose.

It is usual to see some figures according to regular study for a system. There is an average length of spins within which the sessions are cleared with a profit. After that point is surpassed, chances are that if you stay it means facing a negative session. The goal therefore is shifted to break even and getting the hell out of there ASAP when on such trams.

Also, i also like to set a 3rd mark. The "Out now" spin. When reached, regardless of the current bankroll balance, it's time to end the session.

After such "out now" point the sessions are usually doomed, so staying would be awaiting for a "Miraculous comeback", which usually doesn't happen according to study. So it's time to let go.

True the miraculous recovery could happen, but a "spins-to-win" relation for sessions shows a bell-curve shape. When the most-likely success point is gone, better to keep your units locked.

These safeguard rules come from experience. Hope they help.
