I don't have any problem. I rather want you to be the permanent administrator. Please do not sell the forum to Steve for any reason or excuse otherwise I will be the last person to talk to you.

"Mark as Offtopic"
Interesting idea.
Youtube and other sites have this functionality, where they leave it up to the reader to choose whether to see marked posts or not.

Basically my thought is: while you are allowed to say basically anything about a man or his ideas, you aren't allowed to go into his house and invoke he MUST have to retreat to let you in and cope with you and your views in his living room.
He (the owner) should retain the right to keep you away.

We must balance "free speech" vs "free trolling".
In my view, there is free speech as long as anyone retains the ability to start their own thread and express his/her opinions freely.
As to the removed posts, I can arrange the forums' recycle bin to show each user his own removed posts, in order to being able to recover and reposting them when considered to exercise his right.
Something I'm certain about is we don't want "free trolling".

Should we be having a poll on this?

While it's true they are forced, there's absolutely nothing about the "how" or "where" the ads should be placed.
Steve banned mentions or linking to here. So it isn't a surprise his ads belong to the bottom of the pages, with a proper message above them.
If Steve wants popups, I'm flat keen to give up being owner/admin just for the pleasure of removing them altogether. He's better to keep them for the benefit of search engines.
I've banned myself already from his premises. Changed the password of my accounts typing whatever with my closed eyes and changed the email address to garbage so they are fully unrecoverable.
He's leaving it clear site support is a one-way street with him; he doesn't want anything to do with us other than reaping on our visitors, so it isn't surprising his ads are moved to the bottom.

...So if you have the chance please support us by spreading the word.
As simple as mentioning us when you are discussing with your gambling fellows.
Or if you have a website, facebook page or blog, posting a link to us will help.
Thank you

Just for the record: I, Victor, Reinstated Admin, personally think a lifetime of free ads is excessive.
But I accept it if that's what it takes for the stability and long-term peace of our community.

General Discussion / First Council decision: Roll It All Back

The first decision of the council is: ROLL IT ALL BACK:
This is a most-pertinent quote from a saavy mod:
So the forum goes back to exactly where we were, Steve's ads are going to be run "Ad perpetuum" here.

[...] sometimes we simply have to accept a via media -- a compromise position -- is a sensible course of action. As in this case.
Otherwise we will have dissension, disruption and uncertainty that will drive members away. It happened before, didn't it, when SH flexed his muscles?
Just accept his conditions.
Then we can move forward from there with a stable platform for the future.
So the forum goes back to exactly where we were, Steve's ads are going to be run "Ad perpetuum" here.

Victor, have you give this any thoughts or tests with the "8 train" approach as a bet selection method?

I know this is good to boost concatenated hits within 37 spins, don't know up to what extent would it be for the "8 train" hits.

General Discussion / Topic starters are moderators of their own topics
November 20, 2012, 05:20:16 PMAs title says: topic starters are moderators of their own topics now

With everyone being a "Topic moderator" taking care of their own started threads, the work of Global Moderators should be easier from now on.

November 20, 2012, 04:22:49 PMQuote from: albalaha on November 20, 2012, 04:10:59 PMI mean to say I've learned in this game one should be careful in the way you manage the wins you have in your hands. If there's no reason as to look for a 3rd or 4th hit, then it is better to withdraw what you have collected for the cycle.
Do you mean to say, two is enough?
On the other hand, perhaps you have studied deeply the likeliness of a number coming 3 times and develop a strategy upon them (which truth be told, isn't that far-fetched, a number showing 3 times in 37 spins could be argued to be a regular happening). If such is the case, go for it
