You have probably already read this article......but if you have not, you should be aware of what you are getting into when you trade the crypto products.

I think there were some posts about speculating in crypto currencies......maybe you should read this article in the wall street journal before you risk your hard  earned dollars in a crypto currency.

https://www.wsj.com/articles/terrausd-crash-led-to-vanished-savings-shattered-dreams-11653649201

Sorry.......I tried the link and there is a pay wall for the Journal ( have to subscribe to the Journal to read the article)  so you probably will not be able to read the article.

The article said that numerous people lost their life savings trading crypto.  Classic example of a herd mentality bubble.

Nothing comes easy in life.......unless you have rich parents who leave you a lot of money when they die.

General Discussion / Blackjack team

Looks like the BJ teams are still trying to make a dent in the casino's profits.

30 minute video below..... about one such team who played just before the virus started in 2020.

Make sure you watch the whole video because the last 2 minutes are the most interesting........it shows how
the variance in the profits and losses can be very brutal whether it's roulette, blackjack, poker, sports betting
or baccarat.

"Observe the trend of the shoe.
If it looks like a player will win within the next 3 hands start betting player only."

What??????

Also......... If I am betting $ 100 a unit and I get to having to bet 176 units in the progression, that's betting            $ $17,600  on basically a coin flip.

This method looks great...where can I buy it?

Here are a few random thoughts:

1. I heard it said this way  ......"Happy wife, live a long life........Unhappy wife, storm and strife"

2. KLW   I hope Ladbrokes is using a live dealer and not using an RNG........if it's an RNG, I wouldn't even think about playing there.

3. You would think that someone in the marketing department would come up with a better name for a casino other
than LadBROKEs !!!!

KLW    I was in the UK for a few years (in the Midlands) and most of the casinos are small or cater to high rollers...Grosvenor, Crockfords in London etc etc ...... so it can get very expensive if you attempt to test a new bac method in a casino.

Personally, I would never play online...too many problems.....and don't even think about playing online against an RNG....you might as well flush your money down the loo.

Probably as mentioned by ASYMBACGUY, is to buy an automatic shuffler and deal about 200 or 300 shoes and see if you can find any abnormalities which are worthwhile...  finding only one or two abnormalities a shoe will not be practical or worthwhile....... so don't quit your day job.

Even if you can find 15 or 20 abnormalities a shoe, there is no guarantee you can come out a winner in the short run, even if you have a large % probability edge  such as 10%........you will win in the long run with a 10% advantage, but in the short run, normal standard deviation can turn you into a loser over 2 or 3 shoes in a row.

Most blackjack teams in the 1970's  to  1990's using a big player only placed big bets when the deck showed a
1.5 % advantage.........   and it was very common for their bank to lose 20 % to 40 % of its value...even playing with a 1.5 % edge.

And if you are married with a few kids and your wife sees you dealing cards on the kitchen table for 2 or 3 hours every day, you might soon be talking to a divorce lawyer.

I'm not sure where you live but try to see if a nearby casino has Virtual baccarat ( also virtual roulette and virtual blackjack ....dealt by a real dealer ( not an RNG )..... and you can place bets on  a computer terminal.......but you can sit out an entire shoe and not bet and no one will bother you........unfortunately only a few casinos have these virtual machines.

The Venetian in Vegas has them as well as Boston Encore casino in Massachusetts  and the Connecticut casinos.

Online Casinos / Re: Online Poker Collusion
December 27, 2021, 10:01:22 PM
I made a post about online casinos some time ago on the link below.........online8or9   reply #3

Maybe worth re-reading it.

https://betselection.cc/index.php?topic=11132.msg69357#msg69357

Here is the post if you can not find it on the link:

The problem with online casinos is that the result of a decision ( player or banker in baccarat, or the spin of a roulette wheel etc ) is not dependent on the hand dealt by a deck of cards or the spin of a roulette wheel, but the result is determined by the RNG and the cards or the roulette ball is displayed according to the result of the RNG ,,,,and the RNG knows in advance how much is bet on player or banker or how much is bet on a roulette number or even chance.

Personally i would have to be crazy to play that type of game.

At least with live land based casinos, you are assured of getting an honest game ( doesn't mean you will win, but at least you didn't get cheated.)  And you don't have to wait 1 or 2 weeks to get your money,,,you can cash out in a few minutes and you don't have to worry about the online casino stealing your money such as this famous case involving online poker.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Full_Tilt_Poker

Actually in high stakes poker, you have a very good chance of being cheated in a live casino poker game or a home live game  where 2 or more players are playing as a team and giving signals to each other as far as to what cards they are holding as well as various other means of cheating.

Basically it all means you can't trust any company or any person when money is involved.,,,,,especially lots of money.

I have a suggestion, which of course will not be implemented.....which is ........everyone who chooses not be vaccinated must register with the nearest hospital where they live and state that they have chosen not to be vaccinated,   and if they develop covid symptoms and go to their hospital,  then the hospital will test them for the virus, and if they test positive and have the virus, then they will be given 2 aspirins and told to go home and go to bed.

Anyone disagree?

The virtual baccarat, roulette, 3 card poker, craps and blackjack games which are played on computer terminals are honest since they have live dealers spinning a real roulette wheel and dealing real cards from a shoe ( they are also called Stadium games since the virtual machines are arranged like seats in a soccer or a football stadium.)

One dealer can deal  to as many as 700 virtual terminals which saves the casino many many $$$$ since they can get rid of hundreds of dealers and pit bosses and save a lot of $$$ on salaries, 401K, health insurance,
vacation pay,   etc etc in addition to eliminating a lot of Human Resources personnel.

However some 21 ( Blackjack ) virtual games only pay 6 to 5 on a player Blackjack instead of 3 to 2.

The casino can set the odds themselves and I think most casinos have 6 to 5 on a player Blackjack not only on the virtual games but also on the table games since most customers really do not really care about the small difference...........but they are getting screwed, as usual, by the casino.

The last I heard, the Venetian in Las Vegas, the Boston Encore in Boston and Foxwoods casino and Mohegan Sun casino in Connecticut have the virtual games. ...........but I am not sure about European and Asian casinos.

The Genting casino in Queens New York City has all the Roulette, Bacarrat, Blackjack games using a Random Number Generator (RNG) and like online casinos, if you lose all your money playing on an online casino or against an RNG computer, you deserve to lose all your money because you are a   *oron.

The same applies to playing on an online Poker site......I have lost track of all the scams, collusion, multi accounting, ghost players, high-tech cheating,  etc etc etc which  has happened  on internet poker sites.

Unfortunately there are three things which you can not trust another human being ....money, sex and power............the three biggest weaknesses, and temptations, of all of us human beings.
